I now have two TaoTronics Bluetooth transmitters, this one and the earlier version which is operating on one of our TVs. This one was easy to set up (on my hi fi amplifier) and easy to pair with a set of Bluetooth headphones. It works well and the sound quality is good. The range is excellent but does not quite reach the area of the back garden where we might wish to sit and listen to music. However, I guess that might be a line-of-sight issue. If needed, I would certainly buy more of these little gadgets.

I bought this piece of kit primarily so I could pair my Tao tronics Bluetooth headphones with my non-Bluetooth Sony CD player. At first my attempts at pairing was un-successful despite many attempts! Meanwhile the team at Sunvalleytek, the company that supplied the transmitter emailed me asking how I was getting on with my Bluetooth transmitter. When I explained my difficulty they replied with various suggestions on how to proceed. As I am new to this technology ( Retired for 3 years!) I greatly appreciated their outstanding customer service and indeed very quickly solved the problem. The transmitter kept pairing with the TV sound bar in the upstairs lounge!! Simply unplugging the sound bar and pairing the headphones and Bluetooth transmitter again proved successful. I can now listen to my CD player anywhere in my house. Brilliant!! Thanks again to the Sunvalleytek team for their expert advice and customer care. I thoroughly recommend this Tau Tronics Bluetooth transmitter. You won't regret it.

Received this via prime 1 day delivery. Well packaged, neat little device with cables to allow you to connect to your audio device. Stuck it on charge for an hour. Took under 20 seconds to link up with my Bose qc35's, plugged it into the headphone jack on my TV and worked first time. Had an older version of this and Tao tropics have upped their game. Older model had issues at low volume, kind of whooshing noise which went away when you turned up the volume. This unit works really well at any volume. Old unit had an audio jack lead that left the unit dangling at the back of the TV. New unit has a cable length that allows the unit to sit neatly next to the TV (and obviously less obstructions to the signal). Good range but not tried it beyond thirty feet. Excellent stereo quality. Very happy to recommend this unit.

I have had the product and been using it daily for three months without any problems at all with a four year old Samsung smart tv. I pair it with two bottom of the range JBL speakers and the sound quality and volume range is considerably superior to the tv’s speaker. The only times I have had pairing problems is when I have used one of the speakers to connect to a different device for another purpose. Then the BT does not recognise the speaker, but not a real problem as it’s simple and quick to pair again. I have found that, by plugging the BT into the headphone jack on my tv, the volume range is far greater than the other connection options. I keep the usb plugged in all the time, even when tv is off/on standby so no charging/power issues. For the low cost the device is great quality. I wish I had bought it sooner.

Works really well. No problem pairing it with my Sony headphones. It sits unobtrusively on my desk - and occasionally below my Samsung TV. I can play games on my PC and listen to the TV at night without disturbing anyone. Transmission seems lag-free.The only reason why I dropped a star is because the range is a bit disappointing compared to my previous Panasonic RF headphones - walls do soak up the Bluetooth signal, so I can't listen to music played on my computer when I'm upstairs; downstairs coverage is pretty good apart from some drop-outs in one room.

This is an excellent bluetooth transmitter. I have mine connected to a Sony tv. I was a little bit worried about possible lip sync issues between the transmitter and my bluetooth headphones. My concern was unfounded. The sync is perfect and the sound is brilliant. Just make sure the receiving headphones incorporates abtx low latency technology. A charge lasts for between 13 and 14 hours, which is impressive. It’s a pity that it is not recommended to charge it via the tv usb connection but that is no big deal. I would definitely recommend this transmitter.

Absolutely love this product. My TV did not come with a Bluetooth function so I bought this little thing and it works a treat. It comes with different ways of linking it to a device such as a TV. Currently I am using the headphone connector as that allows me to watch all freeview channels whilst wearing Bluetooth headphones. The optical audio connector was brilliant for music but I could not listen to HD channels or some +1 channels as their sound didn't come through. I haven't tried the 'audio out' connector. There is a bit of lip sync issues using Bluetooth with the TV but I can live with this as using Bluetooth headphones means I can watch TV without having to also listen to all my neighbours' music, kids, door slamming, motorbikes, shouting etc. If you like watching musicals and/or music videos, using Bluetooth might drive you a bit insane as the lip sync lag is quite pronounced. I can walk around my 1 bedroom purpose built (1970's) flat with only a bit of cutting out. Kitchen is off the sitting room and there are no issues with my headphones working but the signal cuts out in other rooms further away from the transmitter - but if I sit/stand slightly more upright I can get the connection back so if I played with positioning the transmitter I could probably improve reception in other rooms. As it is powered by USB I have no issues with it as it is permanently plugged into the TV.

Initially I could not get it to pair with the company's own model of bluetooth headphones. In desperation I turned off every other bluetooth device in the house and then I did get a connection. The connection seems to hold good now even with the other devices turned back on so if you are having issues pairing then maybe try it away from other bluetooth devices/signals before giving up.
