Numbers, Colours, Shapes: First 100 Soft To Touch
Title: "Numbers, Colours, Shapes: First 100 Soft To Touch" - A Treasure Trove for Early LearningAs a parent, one of the most delightful milestones to witness is the moment your child begins to recognize and learn about the world around them. "Numbers, Colours, Shapes: First 100 Soft To Touch" is a book that promises to be a valuable companion on this journey of discovery.Crafted with care by Roger Priddy, this book is a vibrant explosion of early learning concepts, designed to engage and educate toddlers in the most formative years of their development. The book is a part of the 'First 100' series, which has been widely appreciated for its approach to early education. The book's pages are teeming with 100 color pictures, each one aiming to introduce little ones to their first numbers, shapes, and colors. The illustrations are not just visually appealing but are also accompanied by 100 simple first words, making it a dual learning experience for children as they begin to associate words with images. What sets this book apart is its tactile design. The pages are made from tough board material, ensuring durability for endless hours of fun reading. Moreover, the cover is softly padded, making it easy for little hands to hold and interact with. This thoughtful design is crucial as it respects the natural learning process of children, who are as tactile as they are visual learners. The book's effectiveness is reflected in the glowing reviews it has received. Parents have noted how their children return to it time and again, drawn by its colorful pages and easy-to-understand content. It's a book that grows with the child, starting as a picture book and gradually transforming into a tool for word recognition and basic concept learning."Numbers, Colours, Shapes: First 100 Soft To Touch" is more than just a book; it's a doorway to learning that respects the pace and curiosity of every child. It's a five-star recommendation for any parent looking to enrich their child's early learning experience. With its sturdy design and educational value, this book is a must-have on the bookshelf of any toddler ready to explore the basics of their ever-expanding world.

Tiny book! But little girl loves it!
I loved the look of this book for my 14-month old daughter. I was surprised on its arrival at how small it is! It's tiny! Less than A5. The book does have good quality "board" pages and a high quality finish, with lovely padded cover. The pictures are bright and attractive, but the publisher has squeezed more than one number or shape onto each page, up to four items on some pages, which is not ideal and makes the images too small and too much "going on" on each page. The book includes numbers (1-10), colours, shapes, opposites, "time to..." and places, which is a good range of learning areas. Another major positive is that the book's language is not "Americanised", but rather has proper English nouns.N.B. UPDATE - After several months, I've upgraded the rating from 3 to 5 stars! My little girl LOVES this book, and looks at it constantly. The small size has actually proved perfect for her little hands, and she loves playing "Where's the ...?" game and picking the correct image from those on each page. So colourful and fun.

Great
Bought this for my 2yr old son, primarily to use when we are out and about, going to restaurants etc to keep him entertained as well as having some toys. The material is really easy to wipe down and clean, nice brightly coloured pictures used. Covers briefly quite a few ‘subjects’ and smaller than I thought which turned out to be a bonus as it fits in his nappy bag better and is easy for him to hold and turn the pages. He’s enjoyed this book and I think it was worth the money paid.

Some useful extra pages
I like these books and even better so does my little one.The cover differs in colour from the photo but that’s not a problem. The pages are clear with my only criticism being that the red and orange page are next to each other so there isn’t much contrast. In addition to numbers colours and shapes, there are additional pages about other things such as time and places. This is board book. The cover is padded but covered in a shiny card so not soft padded.

A fantastic book and one of my daughter’s new favourites.
A fantastic book and one of my daughter’s new favourites. My daughter is 18 months old and loves it, we read it a couple of times a day. It’s about 20 pages long and shows numbers 1-10, then teaches 6 colours with examples, and follows up with shapes and examples of where they are found it also teaches happy & sad, Large & small, open & closed etc. It really is a lovely book. I would highly recommend it for any child that loves learning and books. Our Rosie is like a sponge at the moment and we love sitting together and reading so I will be buying more of these books shortly as she also loves the my first 100 animals book also by Roger Priddy.

Ideal first words book
Bought as a gift for the neighbours young toddler as she's just become a big sister.Lovely board book with bright colourful pages and no awful Americanisms which is something I look for. I prefer kids books to be easily understood by its intended audience. Some first words books are way beyond them or contain things they don't hear in their everyday lives. This is a small book but a useful one. Very fun for young toddlers as it offers so many chances for praise.Definitely good value for money
