OXO 11122600 Good Grips Vegetable Chopper With Easy-Pour Opening, White, 10.7 x 26.2 x 16.5 cm

This is a superb bit of kit. I have used it every day so far. Even if I only used it to chop onions ( the bane of my life) that alone would justify the purchase. But I also find it useful for chopping other vegetables such as carrots and courgettes and celery for my soup maker or even making soup on the hob. It's definitely time saving and everything is contained in the container. I have a little trouble opening it for cleaning but it's not essential for every day cleaning. It is sharp. Keep your fingers away from the cutting blades.

I love this chopper! Great for cucumbers peppers cheese etc to pour over your salads then keep other half in fridge for the next day x easy to use and easy to clean x No different parts!! Stuck in the drawer not being used - I love it x

The item works well with the softer vegetables but can be difficult to close and therefor chop if you don't cut things like harder peppers small enough, I feel that id i have to cut it small it almost defeats the object, but saying this it works well on most things and dose save time. Diced salads are easier and made more often also the easy pour is a convenient idea.

This is a great thing if you like chopped salad, use a dehydrated or indeed just like/need veg chopped to equal size and don't have great knife skills or want it done quickly.I've had other choppers of similar type but this one is the best I've had, feels robust in use and can go in the dishwasher. (I ruined a previous poorer quality one before I'd even used it by putting through the dishwasher.).If there is a negative it is that it only has what in other brands is the larger blade. Most offer a finer one which I have used for things like rosti instead of grating. The addition of such a blade would be welcomed by me.

I've previously owned the JML and off-brand versions of this type of chopper. While the JML one was good, I am a big fan of OXO products owing to my arthritis. It really shows that people like me have been kept in mind in the design of their products.(As a sidenote, the offbrand cheapy one I got broke very quickly!)While I can see that some may prefer the multiple brade choice of JML, I would recommend the OXO one over it, for several reasons. Firstly, while there only being one blade size, this does mean less removable parts. This, in my opinion, reduces the chance for breakage or loss. Additionally, this chopper has a grippy pad on the top, which allows for easier operation. I also like the way in which the back of the tub part has an opening so the chopped produce can be poured straight into the pan or bowl you're working with. The rubber insert into the inside of the "lid" is also helpful in cleaning.It's not perfect, but I am very happy with it. I'd say the possible flaws would be that singular chopping size (for some that could be a deal breaker), and the fact that some produce doesn't get quite as clean a cut as others.That being said, I personally love it and find it really helps in food prep.

It cannot cut tomatoes of any kind. Unfortunately that was the main thing I wanted it for. Peppers also don't work well. Cucumbers and onions work well.It's got quite a study build so it seems like it won't break easy.

I was initially really happy with this product, easy to use for prepping food. Sadly a metal blade snapped today whilst chopping parsnips. Three months of use is not ideal.

I really like this. Great for salads and batch cooking. I wouldn't use carrots judging by reviews. Comes apart for cleaning, very easy to re-assemble.
