Why do the screws fall easily into the countertop holes? What’s the point of the holes on top of the counter, if you can’t actually use them?

I have the same problem. Also the drill is so low powered it doesn't screw pieces of foam together. It was very disappointing. I still love it, but the holes are useless.

How am I able to get the stuff my son vacuumed up out of the side part it went into? There’s a hole on the inside but not one thing came out.

You probably have to tip the whole thing and shake it until it comes out the whole it went in. It's not a real vacuum , but for some reason they put a real hole in the fake vacuum into the inside of the blowmolded plastic.
