Very easy to fit and feels sturdy

Looks great on had to deduct 1 star as was a bit fiddly to get screws to go in the window frame

I think the screws provided were a little too long, but I had some shorter self tapping screws that were ideal. Our en suite bathroom opens into a gap between our neighbours house and ours. Wind often catches the Window and pulls it fully open at force. I was concerned that one day we would likely lose it as the wind where we live can be quite ferocious. This feels really sturdy and it feels like it will prevent that from happening. Will check to see what state the mounts are in, but it feels plenty secure enough. For the money definitely a worthwhile investment. Build quality of device seems to be spot on.

Irritating to open with key. And sometimes when it’s locked it’s not.

Yes these are brilliant, they are just short enough to stop my 3 year old toddler from squeezing her head through the window when it's open, so we can now leave the window open more than just the one notch which doesn't really do the job. Now you can leave it open properly with a nice breeze able to flow through the open gap in my case the gap is about 4 inches, so plenty of room for some good air flow.They are really easy to fit, i got a small drill bit where i pilot holed where the screws were to go in, then used a combi drill to screw in the supplied screws straight into the UPVC frame and it all seems very secure so won't be going anywhere any time soon. Just remember to thread the covers on before you attach them as you'll have to undo the screws and start again if you don't! In total to fit one restrictor it took me four minutes, so it's a very rapid solution to stopping your toddler from falling out of your windows. Obviously not as good as the manufacturers child proof locks/restrictors but these are a very good after market fitment. With the added benefit of having a key lock so you can open the windows fully when the children aren't around.

Bought these for peace of mind with my climbing 2 year old who likes to look out of windows. Very easy to fit (once I picked up the courage to screw into the plastic window frame). I did several windows using just a Phillips screwdriver. No instructions which was a shame though (hence 4* rather than 5*). If you would like to learn from my mistakes then 1. When you screw in the key hole and lock section don't do it too close to the edge of the windows frame. You need to leave enough room for the white cover to slot on top so that you can close and open the window. Sounds obvious but given it is a bit fiddly and there is not much room on the window frame it is quite easy to get wrong 2. Make sure it is screwed in the right way up, otherwise when you slot the white cover on the writing will be upside down and think it is difficult to remove the cover when on as it clips on

For added safety protection to bedroom first floor windows to stop them opening fully for my grandchildren. We also set out the system of the key to remove and use to fully open the windowOnly in a case of emergency. Purchased at a very good price and first class in my mind for the safety of my grandchildren 🥰
