LIGHT TOO BRIGHT all the rest great
I had to switch the light out as it would startle the fish! It is incredibly bright. So I got a great alternative with a dimmer and colour changing etc.The filter is good (not the best and Fluval one was eventually bought)The tank is great with a lid that makes the whole thing look smart.

A good starter tank but not without some small issues!
I am overall really pleased with this aquarium, but there are some small things that I wish I had known before buying it!- The kit I received consisted of a - 10 US gallon (37.8 Litre) tank, led light and a filter.- The Filter I was sent was not the one advertised in the description! I actually received the Marina i110 Internal Filter that sticks to the inside of the tank with suction cups and has a waterfall effect, this came with 1 filter cartridge.- The filter is not completely silent and does give off a low constant hum. If you're wanting this tank for a bedroom - please take this in to consideration. (I later changed this filter for a internal sponge box filter - so I could have an air pump situated outside my bedroom, making the tank virtually silent.)- You need to leave a space at the top of the tank for the filters waterfall feature, so it's tricky to have the water filled right to the top of the tank without it sticking out above the top of the tank. You might think with all the things I listed above that I'm unhappy with this aquarium kit, however I actually really like it. It's well made and looks amazing all lit up at night, the LED is strong enough to give off a good even light and I've had strong constant plant growth since setting the tank up. I'd say that this is a perfect size starter tank and once It's all set up with substrate, plants and decorations it's hard not to be impressed with how nice it looks!

Marina lux 38 litre
Rectangular in shape, so fish can swim. Not too big. 38 litres is a good size to manage. However, the hood let it down. Big gap in the back, a hole at the end of the aquarium to feed fish. No flap to keep it shut. Constantly having problems with evaporation of the water. When taking the hood off. There is no Hinges. Would not buy it again. Filter very flimsy.

+coldwater aquarium
Had a small tank. This is an excellent medium sized tank reasonably priced, considering that it comes with light fittings and filter. took no time to setup as a cold water aquarium. an excellent tank for beginners or someone looking for a bigger tank without it being too large

Noisy pump, water evaporates quickly
This aquarium some with a pump and and external filter that hangs off the back and flows in to the talk like a waterfall. Sounds lovely but is a design flaw. The pump tends to rattle the rear mounted filter, making it noisy, it kept our son awake as its in his bedroom. The replacement filters for the pump keep you buying from Marina and are not a sustainable product. Finally, as there are large openings in the hood for the rear mounted filter, water evaporates really quickly, which is quite annoying.I have now purchased a little internal filter from Internet which runs silently. I’m trying to find an appropriate condensation tray but the size of the tank is non standard. All in all, wish I had just bought a normal tank with hood, would have been much less hassle.

It does come with a heater
There was no broken glass or equipment. The only problem at the moment is one of the suction pads that keeps the filter up keeps detaching so it’s fell many times, but I just kept it down for now. I also ready on the frequently asked questions, 3 people asked if it comes with a heater and all the responses said no, so I bought a separate heater and then it did in fact come with a heater, so now I have 2. So that’s annoying. Overall, I’d recommend it, just don’t buy a heater on top of it.
