There were/are many serious issues with this thermostat. This product is made in China, and their ability to copy items "almost" is frustrating and leads to problems. Do not buy this item from this company. There will be problems installing it because of sloppy adherence to the specs. The large "plug" is not tapered as the original is, thus it does not tighten up as it is installed. The plug just screws in until it stops as it hits the shoulder of the plug. It did not leak with cold oil, but I'm expecting that as the oil heats up, there will be a leak. My customer needed this fryer working for this busy weekend, so I had to leave it installed.

Product arrived on time and works great

We recently replaced 2 thermostat in 2 different deep fryers and these fit just like the OEM thermostat. Just make sure to calibrate the temperature of the new stat with the actual temp of the oil!
