Oil Filters - Metal Bowl 3/8"

Q: mine is leaking around the 3/8 connections , what is the correct way to seal these please?

I used plenty of ptfe tape and a washer. If I remember correctly, the fitting is parallel threaded. if tapered thread, then skip the washer but plenty of ptfe. You can also use liquid sealer but they are generally expensive and you need everything to be clean and dry to start with.

Q: Does this include an oil filter inside?

It does. It's also much studier than the one it replaced which had a transparent plastic bowl that distorted as it was tightened. It never made a reliable oil tight seal and I had to keep checking to ensure it wasn't weeping. It was an easy replacement and good value for money.
