Captivating stories!
The stories in this book are really captivating and I don't even feel like I'm practicing Spanish when I'm reading this! A great resource for a language learner!

Great reading on planes
Great collection covering a variety of authors, countries, and literary styles. I like to take these books on airplanes because I can use the English text to find the words I missed, rather than also taking with me a dictionary or paying for Wi-Fi to look up words online.

Great for intermediate or higher Spanish speakers.
I bought this particular book a little too premature in my Spanish studies. It is a nice book for those whose levels would be considered intermediate to advanced. It's not intended reading for beginners. Also, for those who care, the stories are from different regions of Latin America and the differences in slang and diction are profound. For example: words that are common in the story from Argentina differ greatly from the story written by the Cuban writer or Peruvian writer. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but worth mentioning if you are thinking perhaps all the stories are similarly written with the same general Spanish verbiage, this is not the case with this book. It is a compilation of several Spanish speaking countries.

I can't think of a better way to learn the language
Reading Spanish and English side by side. I can't think of a better way to learn the language. I loved these stories. Learning the grammar was tedious, but in my opinion essential. Reading the stories was enjoyable. Grammar for the basis, reading and conversing to make advancement. So, having the tool of side by side stories provides a convenient and delightful way to make advancement! IMHO.
