I purchased this saffron oil because this oil is usually very hard to find or very expensive. This essential oil comes in a nicely packaged bottle and I personally like the branding and labelling as it follows a orange/ goldish and white colour scheme. You get 15ml of this saffron oil in its undiluted form.When I received this product, I put a few drops on a bit of tissue and smelt it and it definitely did smell of pure saffron. The smell is quite light but distinct and it you can easily identify that it is saffron oil. Personally, putting a drop of the oil on my skin also did not irritate my skin, but this oil is 100% pure and undiluted so if you are planning to use it on your skin for prolonged periods of time and not just to test its scent out, then you would essentially have to dilute it. I have seen some reviews at the bottom who said this oil irritated their skin, but the real question is if they actually diluted it or not. Once you dilute it with a carrier oil, it will be less concentrated so it should not irritate your skin.All in all, an expensive oil just like saffron itself is and so I do feel that the £12.00 pricing for a 15ml bottle is quite reasonable. The 15ml will go quite a long way if you dilute it every time you use it.

Good quality, quite potent, only require a few drops depending on use/application

I consider myself a seasoned expert in essential oils. However, I had not actually come across saffron oil before.I thought knowing the spice that this would be a little medicinal, however, I wasn’t prepared for quite how powerfully punchy and pungent it is. I like to use essential oils for home cleaning and body fragrances, and to be honest with you, I couldn’t see how I would dilute or mix to make it palatable for wearing using. Is that strong.So I’m using it in my concoction for toilet cleaning, and I add it to vinegar and liquid soap to squeeze in my toilet bowl to clean it. It’s a much more powerful type of antimicrobial scent than something like Teatree or Yarrow for example.

The 15 ml bottle of saffron essential oil arrived boxed together with a gold topped dropper. The bottle is dark brown in colour to protect the oil from light.The information on the box, and also the sales page information, give brief ideas for the use of the oil on hair and skin but I intend to use it in a diffuser. Saffron has such a distinctive aroma which I really like and the essential oil has this in an intense and very sweet smelling form.This is a small quantity of essential oil but as stated it is intense and, depending on use, can be diluted with a carrier oil to make it go further. I do really like the aroma and will give a rating of 5 stars.

This essential oil has a sweet slightly floral scent to it. I can smell a soft aroma of honey somewhere in there too. It is not at all overpowering. It paired well with Cedarwood in my diffuser. It arrived packed well in an attractive box and has a dropper included which is very useful.
