BRILLIANT BOARD, BRILLIANT VALUE
BRILLIANT BOARD, BRILLIANT VALUE!Been looking around for a Paddleboard for a while now, and finally settled on the Aquaplanet due to the reviews; although I have to admit I was slightly nervous about the quality given the price, which is a lot cheaper than similar looking boards on Amazon.I’m happy to say I needn't have worried - the quality and value for money are both outstanding.Delivery was super quick - mine arrived next day - and first impressions were good - the storage bag that contains the kit feels tough and built to last, with a chunky zip, and both the accessories and board itself looked like solid bits of equipment. So far so good. Fast forward a couple of weeks and I finally got to try it out on a weekend on a ‘boys day out’ with my 9 year old.The board itself was easy to inflate as per the instructions, though it took me slightly longer than the quoted 10 minutes using the supplied pump (although my boy wanting to join in may have slowed things down a bit), but we were ready to get in the water 15 minutes after unpacking the bag. Once inflated, it’s amazing how solid the board is. I’ve not used a SUP before and had sort of imagined it would be softer, but it’s a rock solid platform that’s extremely sturdy.Into the water and I found it surprisingly easy to stand up on the board - I’d had visions of it behaving something like a surfboard and of myself spending most of my time in the water, but happily the board sits flat on the water making it very stable - the extra large fin makes all the difference. I'm 90kg and had wondered if I might be too heavy but I had no problem at all, and soon enough I was paddling at speed (well it seemed fast to me!) - the paddle is tough too, but made of aluminium so it's not tiring to hold. The rest of the accessories are of a similar quality to the board and paddle, the coiled leash being particularly well thought out - strong but comfortable and not intrusive.I think I have discovered my new favourite hobby! We had a great day messing about in the water, I even managed to get my boy sitting on the front of the board while I paddled at one point!I do hope Aquaplanet bring out a kids version of this board - while my boy can use mine just fine in the water, it’s just a little too big for him to carry in and out on his own. Also if he has his own board it’ll stop him wanting to use mine!If you’re looking to get into Paddleboarding you can’t go wrong with this kit. Great fun, amazing value. Highly recommended.

Price is amazing for the quality, £400 is more like it
I’ve been on a few solid sups before, surfed and owned a kayak but fancied an inflatable sup because my car can’t get roof bars.Having not used an inflatable sup before I was skeptical about which to buy, spent a good week or 2 reading reviews on various websites, watching videos of testing and comparing ratings and prices...After a solid amount of research and having been somewhat persuaded by the comments on this page I gave in a week ago and bought it.It arrived this week (also bought a new wetsuit)... and it arrived really very fast (uk Cardiff, 3/4 days. My wetsuit came early this morning, and I couldn’t wait for the weekend so tried it out today...I previously pumped the board up on instant arrival, and from opening it and inflating all the gear was incredibly well made. Period. If you’re sceptical about the price like I was - really, it is a bargain.Inflation was around 3minutes maybe slightly less, although I might mention the last 10 pumps are a workout.Super light weight to carry (obviously)... having used it on a river today & in an open bay I can safely say this thing is worth your money. If you’re comparing a few, and are below intermediate standard, maybe just getting into it, or thinking about buying it as a gift - I highly reccomend.Made of incredibly thick material, all sealed and manufactured well. All accessories are pretty high end stuff (especially the large bag). After maybe 5 minutes of understanding the balance require for an inflatable you’ll be over the moon. Super relaxing when just paddling along, and also pretty killer when thrashing it for some speed! Can safely say this things gunna bring me some joy this summer.10/10Hope this review helps anyone***updateSo I’ve had this kit for maybe 2/3 months now. And previously wrote my car couldn’t get roof bars- I could - so I bought some, and a kayak... I’ve been out on this board maybe 8/10 times now, some alone some with a mate- I can happily say if you’re debating this or a kayak go for this. You’d think this is a bit more boring but it really isn’t, when out on the kayak with a mate on this after 10 minutes I’m dying to stand up and paddle. There really is no comparing it in terms of relaxing and going at your own pace on the water - it’s great. Some things I might add:The pump broke a few weeks ago while I was out with a club- I was gutted. The nozzle end glue was pretty poor so it just needed glueing back on with some better stuff so this was an easy fix.. although the last 3 times I’ve used the pump I’m not sure whether the seals broken or whether I’m going crazy, but it seems to play up some times. Finally - I can’t remeber the recommended max weight for this thing, but I think it’s heavier than me. I’m 12.2 stone, 5’9 and I’d say I’m over heavy for it- when out with a sup club the guys all said I looked too heavy for it (with 16 psi in it- recommended is 15-17). It dips a fair amount in the middle with my weight, weirdly comparing it to other boards the thickness/height of it (not length or width) is pretty shallow- almost half of that of most boards- think this has something to do with it.If you’re looking for something to go on the open sea with every week I’d say go for something else (for safety, buoyancy & balance) - though for general paddling & some enjoyment over summer on some lakes, rivers or in a bay id say this is well worth it if you don’t wanna pay 500+For me, despite the small negatives, I bl**dy love it!

Awesome!!!!!
Wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve used a fibreglass paddle board before on 2 occasions on holiday. Decided to buy an inflatable for when I go to the beach at our family holiday place in Spain. VERY IMPRESSED overall! I’m 5’10” and 75kg and this board was SOLID at 15 psi. Went out with my daughter on the front (total weight 110kg) and it was fine. Could feel a little wobble on the waves but nothing major. The quality of the board is outstanding. The paddle floats so that you won’t lose it to Nemo if you fall off. I think that inflatable SUPs are probably more unstable than the rigid ones but that’s not a criticism of this board. It inflated well, took about 5 mins to pump it up (although the valve has a bit of a knack to it so it took a bit longer; reckon I’ve got it sorted now though). On the whole, an excellent board! Oh...and it fits into the accompanying rucksack with the pump and paddle even after you’ve used it!Update...been out on the board 3 times now and I cannot stress how good it is. Got the hang of the board now and able to paddle without falling off. There’s a small learning curve with balance but after an hour of practice it’s fine. Even managed a spot of yoga when the sea was very calm. Don’t waste your money on a more expensive board, this is PERFECT!2nd Update...Now had the board for over a year. Still as good as new. Pump broke not long after having it but the company sent a new one out straight away. Great customer service. Bought an electric pump for it from Decathlon which is brilliant. Goes to 15psi in under 10 mins! Can’t rate this board highly enough. Absolutely fabulous value for money. Worth 2-3x the cost!
