Nice and Sharp
Love this knife, very sharp. Long blade from easy slicing briskets. Buying another one for a father's day gift for my brother. Highly recommended.

Very pretty knife, looks well made and sharp
I wish there was a way to take off half a star. The knife itself is very pretty, and is also full tang (the handle is physically part of the knife blade not some small piece of metal shoved into a handle). I'm no knife expert but I've been around enough of them to know nice balance and a sharp edge when I see it and it's also better than just "stainless" steel so it should be a decent serviceable knife. At this price level this is not a "professional" knife but for the typical kitchen user that needs to slice ingredients for cooking dinner it's certainly an ok product for sure. The reason I took off a star is there's a little card in the box that infers they'll give you some info about caring for your knife "Avoid top 5 knife mistakes" but when you scan the box all it does is gather your name and email address you never get the promised care information, at least I haven't gotten it yet. I'd love to spend 700 dollars plus on a professional set of knives but that just isn't in the budget and I probably don't need that kind of knife for the way I cook anyway. The knife comes in a fairly heavy duty box and is protected by foam and a plastic wrapper. I would not wash a good knife in the dishwasher just run it under the faucet and hand wash it. There is information given within the amazon information about sharpening angles, an experienced person that knows about knife sharpening will use that information when sharpening your blade. There is info printed on the outside of the box and one sentence leads you to believe they may offer a sharpening service. Well common guys don't tease me, if you have a sharpening service I'd probably send it to you rather than finding someone else to do it but considering the price level it may not even be worth it to sharpen it by the time you have to ship it someplace etc. Haven't had a chance to really run it through its paces yet but just at first glance it's a better knife than anything I already had and specifically seems to be extra good at slicing meats. Satisfied with the knife, annoyed with the company that just seemed to want to snatch my email address without sending the promised info...have to see if my spam folder gains weight after this.update: used this to slice up a sous vide cooked london broil, sous vide cooked meats are very tender and a bit dense but not hard. I had used half of it for another recipe so it was cold from being in the fridge but not frozen. This knife had no issues slicing it quite thin, did better than any other knife I own for sure. To clean I put a drop of dish liquid on the blade and carefully spread it around with a sponge then rinsed it off good as new. I have a knife holder with slots for various size and length knives this fits perfect in it. Watch your digits this is a darned sharp knife.
