Can this remove paint marks

Yes it can. Everytime I get oil paint stains on my clothes, turpentine magically fades the stain away. Its also very good for blending and smells awesome. Better than white spirit.

Does this have a nice fresh "piney" smell or a bad, I'm assuming artificial, smell? There's conflicting information from reviews on here. Thanks!

Well it's a matter of taste. Turpentine is a natural product from pine resin, unlike the white spirit or turps substitute which smell distinctly like "weak" petreol. Taking a big sniff out the bottle is not brilliant but the odour left after you've used on something is not too bad and not as penetrating as the turps itself. Not as pleasant assaya fresh cut pinewood but sort of that smell.

Will it remove the sticky residue from wheelie bin labels?

Hot, soapy water and an abrasive pad would probably work better. I don't think there's any inherint qualities in turpentine to remove sticky labels.
