Yuasa Battery Lead Acid NP7-12 7Ah / 12V VDS

Excellent replacement battery for my APC UPS.Top quality Japanese brand.

I have a small UPS to keep essential services working even though there is a short power blip. Unfortunately it had been in storage for longer than it should have been, due to delays in moving house. The lead acid batteries in the unit were dead. I disassembled the unit and found that these Yuasa batteries are equivalent. Once received I put them in the UPS and now it is charging and ready to take over essential loads (modems, burglar alarm and wifi stations) when there is a power outage.I was delighted that there was sufficient charge in the batteries to enable the unit to fire up straight away and from measuring the voltage of each of the two batteries it appeared that they were as near as possible to the same state of charge.I cannot comment on longevity as I have only just installed them in the unit, but I have no doubt they will last many years as the UPS keeps them in a good state of charge.

It’s the battery advertised and all good apart from one thing, one of the terminals was bent and the plastic cover over it was broken. I think it had had a hard time with the delivery people. So a bit more protection around that area would be perfect. I straightened the terminal and it’s installed.

In my opinion Yuasa make the highest quality batteries. They have a long history of quality, performance and reliability. From my first motorcycle in 1976 I have always chosen Yuasa batteries and they have never let me down. When the NP7-12 7Ah battery in my Levo wheelchair died last month, there was only one brand in my mind when I looked for a replacement. I am totally satisfied with my new Yuasa NP7-12 7Ah.
