Excellent convalescent food
Very expensive but worth it if you can buy it.This replaced RC's powered formula with which I had many years experience.Just as good and this time helped me nurse a 30year old blind and deaf cat through feline Calicivirus Infection. From syringe feeding back to a healthy weight and onto normal food. Five months post virus and fingers crossed she's still going ❤️I have yet to see either a dog or cat refuse to eat it. An excellent product.

very good product
I love this product and keep re-ordering it. It is purrfect for poorly cats that need syringe feeding because it is easily made suitable for syringes by adding a little warm water. Cats also seem to like it unlike some similar products. It is quite high in calories and a little goes a long way.I have recently also used it on a little kitten that stopped eating by syringing tiny amounts into its mouth frequently. Kitten is fine now!I always keep a few tins in the cupboard in case of emergencies.

Cheaper than the vets
My cat had broken jaw. His jaw was wired up. This is the only food he could and would enjoy eating. It smells lovely. Nearly had a go myself.

Amazing post surgery and for feeding tubes
We got a load of this by the vet because our cat got hit by a car and broke his jaw and had a small stroke. He had major surgery and his jaw wired (still has to have another op to have the wire out and teeth out). We took him home with a feeding tube and this stuff is perfect to go through a tube mixed with a bit of water as the vet instructed us to. He only had the tube for 4-5 days and then he was already showing interest and licking this food off my fingers so the vet was happy to remove his feeding tube and said he’s making a remarkable recovery . His recovery has since skyrocketed and he’s eating this food independently with his medication crushed up and mixed in. He’s steadily gaining weight which I’m super happy about almost at 5kg. Also top tip this food has enough water in so do not worry if your cats not interested in water when it’s eating only this food.

Highly recommended
Very good product . This was given to my cat by the vet alongside his treatment when he nearly died with illness , this product brought his appetite back and he recovered . Lately he's had poor appetite with his illness so I bought some myself and he cleared the plate immediately and seems happier . It feels like a complan fir cats and helps them bounce back . Very palatable to them and easy to eat fir a teething kitty too. I believe it isn't meant for long term use but when weaning off can mix with ordinary food . I think all cat parents would benefit from having a few tins of this in the cupboard .

Do not hesitate to buy this! It can be a lifesaver!
I can’t recommend this food enough. It is a pate that can be mixed with water to make a drink. Many very unwell cats prefer to lap something up than to eat. This food got my 20 1/2 year old cat through many difficult times and in the end was all he could and would eat. It is now helping a friends cat who has been very unwell . Royal Canin need to promote this more. I work at an animal shelter and have told them about it for cats and dogs. I would never be without some in my cupboard. It is BRILLIANT!

Our vet recommended this after he hadn't eaten anything for 5 days ...
Our dog has heart failure and one of the complications of the condition is a very depressed appetite. Our vet recommended this after he hadn't eaten anything for 5 days and was deteriorating fast. I initially had to syringe it into his mouth but he loved it so much he ate a whole tin on his own which was such a relief. He literally turned a corner and started eating again. It is a highly palatable, easily digestible food and I would highly recommend it for any dogs which are are poorly or recovering from an operation.
