You get what you pay for
Ehhh??? You get what you pay for I guess. Who would have thought it was so hard to find a quality, black padded toilet seat! I paid about $30 for this at the time ā¦Then I had a plumbing issue that lead to a full remodel & abatement. I didnāt get to install it until about a year ago. It looks great. It feels a bit under padded like thereās a lot of unused space between the seat and the vinyl āskinā. Unfortunately mine didnāt last to long. It broke at the hinge on one of the bolts which is plastic so Iām searching for a replacement.

The Sliding Seat
This item is nice to look at and the bolts used to secure the seat to the toilet are easy to manage. Otherwise, it slides sideways when someone is sitting on it for any length of time. The plastic hinges that hold the lid and seat together slowly loosens and will eventually come apart. Although the seat is soft, it sweats your bottom and the back middle part of the seat gets a crack in it and is going to break in half at some point.

Cheaply made, better than nothing, I guess.
It's adequate, I guess, but not all that well made. The lid part feels like a single piece of thin cardboard, and the padding on the lid and the seat is insufficient for either to hold its shape and dents easily. This replaces another padded seat that lasted almost 5 years, and was still in better shape except the outside plastic cracked so I went to replace. I wish I could remember where I bought that one -- better quality.

Just ok, and that's good enough for us!
We go though too many toilet seats for me to get a quality one. Wait, you say, if you get a quality one won't you be buying less toilet seats? With a pre-teen in the house, probably not. This one is just ok, and it's fine with me. It's soft and will likely last us many months--or it would have it my son wouldn't have sat right down on it and rocked it violently side-to-side to test it. Yeah, it's still hanging in there, but I'm guessing the life expectancy has dwindled. This is not one of those that just locks on the top of existing bolts. You will have to remove the other seat completely and then bolt it on. The bolts are plastic and were difficult for us to get tight enough before he did his little dance on it, and now they do not stay tight and I have to continue to adjust them weekly. It is still working!Things we need in a toilet seat: Padded to alleviate cold backsides in the winter, inexpensive so I won't cry when I have to replace yet another toilet seat in a few months, easy to install because my tween feels the need to 'help' with everything. This has met our needs!

Very cheap
Trash... if you have anyone that is on the chunky side don't get it!!! Very cheap!!! The seat has what seems to be a thin layer of cardboard in it. The Amazon box cardboard can hold more weight. The screws to anchor it are very cheap, one holds the other side never stopped screwing so it's not anchored to the toilet š„“. The plastic on the seat is so thin if you fart to hard it will put a hole. Ok that was a stretch... I think because it hasn't happened, but it is very thin. The seat also stays flat after using the bathroom for extended periods of time. But it looks kind if ok as long as it is not being used š„“

Broke after only 3 months
Whole the toilet seat worked and for great the bracket attaching the seat to the actual toilet broke after only 3 months. Tends to come loose super easily no matter how much I tighten it
