Reliable & Distinctive Timepiece with Citizen Heritage
The CWMJ (Citizen Watch Miyota Japan) marking on this timepiece is a nod to Citizen's rigorous manufacturing standards, and it's a testament to the reliability of Miyota and the heritage of Citizen. This watch exceeds expectations in several key areas, including accuracy, design, and refinements. Some of its notable features include:- A hacking seconds function for precise time-setting- A 21,600 VPH (6 beats/sec) movement that provides a semi-sweeping motion- The Miyota 8205 movement, marked "CWMJ 21 jewels", which delivers exceptional value for its price by blending Japanese precision with Citizen's legacy. It has a quality feel and weight to it, and is comfortable to wear. The lume is also much better than expected at this price point. In terms of performance, this watch has been impressive, losing only 27 seconds (~4 sec/day) after a week of wear, which surpasses Miyota's -20/+40 sec/day rating. Overall, the movement's robust performance is a reflection of the decades of horological expertise that Miyota has inherited as a subsidiary of Citizen. For the money, this is an extremely well built watch with quality looks.

Worth the money!
I bought this watch for work, as an experiment. I work in the Aircraft industry and so far, this watch has held up splendidly. No scratches on the crystal and keeps time very well. I would definitely recommend it.

OK. It’s worth 4 1/2 stars — ATTENTION: auto mov’t effected by electric fields/magnetism
I just can’t give a watch in this price point 5 stars. But if I could, this one would probably be the most deserving. Any automatic movement with more than 3atm WR for less than $100 has to have some compromises.Based on other reviews, it seems like the biggest issue is the band. Hello, this is a 20atm WR dive watch with a tank of an automatic movement and a sapphire crystal. No doubt the band is an after thought (but unusual soft and comfy silicone dive band). If you don’t like it, spend another $10-$30 for whatever band you want. It’s still a bargain. Personally, I had a couple 20mm nato straps in the parts drawer at the ready. BUT be aware this watch comes with screw-in bars (not typical spring tension or quick release on the band). This is a shocking feature upgrade, but also a little more work for swapping out the band. The case is a little thicker than my Seiko automatics (with NH35 movement), but I really like the internal rotating bezel which does lock in place via the upper screw down crown.Bottom line, assuming it is truly 20atm WR, it falls somewhere between a slightly more expensive Invicta with the same Miyota movement, but less quality in fit and finish, and an entry level Seiko diver with NH35 movement for 3 or 4 times the cost. It’ll be a great travel beater that I won’t have to worry about finding a replacement battery for, or lose sleep if it gets damaged or just disappears. Looks like it gains about 5-7 seconds/day, which is perfectly acceptable for almost any automatic mechanical movement.Like I said; 4 1/2 stars.UPDATE: RUNNING FAST? Be aware, all mechanical movements (auto and winding) can be impacted by developing magnetism from being exposed to electro magnetic fields. It’s difficult to avoid those in our modern world, but it’s a good idea when taking it off and setting it down to not put it on or near an electric appliance or media player. There are apps to detect magnetism for smart phones and demagnetizing units available on Amazon for less than $20. This is just part of the pleasure of owning mechanical time pieces. It’s almost a certainty that any mechanical watch will suffer from this issue at sometime. I routinely demag my mechanical watches every 2-3 months, because I like them. If you want quartz accuracy and none of these concerns, then best to stick to battery operated options.

This is a Fantastic Watch that looks great and works wonderfully. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER.
This is the watch I have been looking for; I had read all the reviews about this watch and Berny watches in general. I was hesitant to purchase but I said to myself.... if its junk, I will just send it back and get a refund. Well, I am not sending this watch back and it's not junk, it has been on my wrist since I got it, and it is wonderful. I like a thick watch, and this watch meets that requirement it is about 1/2 inch thick, and it is big and bold with numbers being easy to read both day and night with its luminous hands and hash marks. The day/date functions wonderfully. The band is comfortable and fits nicely. The automatic movement works very well and is quite quiet. This is my new favorite watch.

Looks incredible and amazing value for money!!
The media could not be loaded. The watch is absolutely amazing! The design of the watch, the really good Japanese automatic movement, the quality, and features of the watch make it incredible value for money and amazing. The functionality and accuracy for an automatic mechanical watch is actually really good but not a deal breaker if it wasn’t because automatic mechanical watch’s are (no matter what) no where near as accurate a quartz watch. But I love these non battery watches so much more than quartz for too many reasons for me to state here. The strap, although nice looking and comfortable was way too big on me, so I had to modify it for it to not only fit me but also not have the end of the strap sticking out and looking dumb. In the picture and video you’ll see the major modification I did to it.Also I didn’t feel like finding and buying a new strap for it. The strap that comes with this watch I feel like looks the best with it.The watch was also a bit to thick for me but that’s because my wrist is small and this watch was ment for older men with thicker wrist, no issue for me though.Overall all the watch is absolutely amazing and I love it a lot, would definitely recommend and it is definitely worth it. A fine addition to my collection. But if you are interested in this watch but have a small wrist then be prepared to either modify the strap or get a new one.

Should not have purchased
Terrible band; no provision to shorten aside from sloppily cutting. Single band-keeper that slides; had to secure with needle / thread. Face graphics of brand name printed weakly on the right side. Not keen on misaligned ‘day’ complication. Seems to keep time. It’s just a hundred bucks, though.

Beautiful design and comfortable band
Amazing clarity, accurate, the dials glow very bright. The glass case back is very good quality, over all this was a gift for my brother who is an outdoorsman.
