This is great for the money. Very easy to use and solidly built. Sound quality is good for voice or recording live music.

This is probably the best USB microphone available. It sounds smooth and natural, and it does not require any software to be installed on the computer or iPad. You just plug it in to any computer or tablet or smart phone, and it is recognized as a microphone.You simply adjust the dials on the microphone to get the right settings, and your headphones connect directly to the microphone so there is no delay in hearing yourself as you speak.This is significantly better than many USB microphones that rely on software being installed in order to work correctly. Software is always buggy and unreliable. If you update the operating system on the computer or phone, you often lose functionality in this kind of third part audio software. Over time, if the manufacturer stops maintaining the software as happens frequently, your microphone becomes a paperweight.The Sennheiser Profile microphone simply uses the universal USB audio standard built in to every computer, tablet, and smart phone. The microphone will work for decades into the future.The sound is smooth and clear and professional. Other USB mics sound thin and tinny. This one does not suffer from that problem.You can definitely get an even more refined sound from an XLR microphone and stand-alone microphone amplifier (if you know what you're doing), but this mic will sound better than 90% of the cheap USB mics that people are using all over social media.

WOW! Okay, so I don't do podcasting or YouTube streaming or anything like that and I just need a good mic for my PC and I have always bought quality and when I was pointed to the Sennheiser microphone, the reviews were excellent and so were the pictures and I can say the quality is excellent. I can have it sitting off to the side of my desk and it picks up my voice clearly and when hearing it was of German craftsmanship, that says it all and at the $$$ price, I would buy again!

Great mic, annoying boom. Wish the boom had more range, especially circular motions. Just sucks how limiting the boom is

For a fair price you receive an entry level high quality microphone that also comes with a good stand. This package ensures the mic is ready out of the box with little to no tuning required. I highly recommend one for gaming as I am often complimented on its sound quality. Some people have told me it sounds like a podcast mic.

Daughter wanted to start streaming and we needed a "real" mic.This does not disappoint and looks clean. I would recommend 100%. Setup is simple, too.

The recording quality of this microphone is fantastic. The microphone boom is very solid and almost too hard to adjust: it's very firm but that also means it never moves from where you position it.Here's the killer feature that many will overlook: I considered the Rode Podcaster, the Shure MV7 and a few other mics in this price range. They all come with some obnoxious software you have to install to adjust the settings of the microphone. That SUCKS! This is especially true if you ever plug this microphone into something that isn't a PC. I plugged it directly into a usb-c jack on a synthesizer and the mic worked perfectly. The input volume, mix, headphone monitor volume, and mute are all right there on the microphone whether I'm plugging into my synth or a laptop. I don't have to use some crappy software that'll inevitably go out of date one day and ruin an otherwise working piece of hardware.Bottom line: this microphone JUST WORKS. You don't install anything, it shows up as an input AND output in macOS and Windows. I plug my headphone directly into the mic and I can monitor my own voice or just use it to listen to audio and clean up my cords. I would buy this for these features even if the recording quality wasn't very good but thankfully it is fantastic to boot.Good job Sennheiser!!
