Likely the best Nespresso machine out there
Previous reviewers have mentioned the machine either uses too much (or too little) water when making cup sizes like espresso, ristretto and lungo. I don't think they're aware you can change the amount of water in exact liquid ounces once you connect to the machine via bluetooth with the Nespresso app! So if they dialed in their desired amount of water, I'm sure they'd be getting the espresso pulls they're looking for. That alone is a pretty killer feature. Besides that: auto-disposal of capsules in a capsule bin, water temperature control for somewhat cooler or hotter drinks, and a dedicated separate hot water dispenser. I'm pretty sure this machine is in a league of its own compared to most other Nespresso machines, which cannot manipulate most of these variables and for which you need to throw away each capsule.I may be partial here but I feel the appearance is superior to most other machines, I like that it's wide rather than long and in general design looks great on the countertop. Most importantly the coffee comes out perfect every time. We're not worried about the longevity because the machine both includes a test for (and an ability to set) water hardness level, and an automatic notification when it's time to descale, as well as automated descaling process. You can't find features like that even in some high level professional machines. We've owned it for about 6 months now and are really enjoying the machine, wouldn't have gotten anything else unless I wanted a more expensive super-auto or semi-auto machine for higher quality coffee than the nespresso platform is capable of producing. For great cost on machine, and some very affordable capsules (we buy the Bestpresso brand at 120 capsules for $40 from Amazon and have really enjoyed a boost in flavor and strength of our morning coffee), I think this machine and Nespresso will be a big upgrade for most consumers looking for a better cup of coffee than their Keurig or drip maker will likely ever produce.

Zero star. Heap of trash.
I’m sure we got a dud due to this seller… should have guessed based on the name “auctionUSA” or whatever. But this machine is shocking at how much it doesn’t work. Like… I guess it does plug in and the lights all blink… but that’s the extent of it “working.” I’m not sure who they are hoping to sell these to…? Someone who wants to spend a couple hundred on a non-functional counter top decoration? I’ve order my fair share of refurbished things, and sure expecting some quirks is normal… but like actually not even working at all in the slightest regard?! Stay away.

Delicious coffee all the time
I got this machine for my wife's birthday, and we both love it. It makes delicious coffee, thanks to the great variety of pods and the high quality of coffee available. I drink both espressos, with a thick crema and flavor similar to what one gets at the best European cafés, and americanos (for the morning jug of coffee). I love the fact that this machine makes americanos. Now, when I got it, I was concerned with the environmental impact of using disposable capsules. My concern was put to ease after reading a British study that concluded that pod coffee was surprisingly better for the environment if one recycles the pods. The reason was the following. Regular coffee making uses more energy (by heating more water) and leads to more waste of coffee (which requires also lots of water to grow and energy to be moved and roasted). Even better: if you reside in a place where there is industrial composting available to you, you buy compostable capsules. Anyway, a great machine with great coffee.

After two years, still in love.
This is my baby. I've had this machine for two years now and I don't know what I would do without it. We purchased this when it was on a killer sale at $170! The reliability of this machine is amazing. It's easy to use. The design is perfect for our countertop. We purchased a milk frother that sits right next to it. Love it! I don't use the app ever, wasn't that impressive. And over the two years, pods have gotten stuck. Two, maybe three, times this has happened. No machine is perfect. All you have to do is push the pod out of the way and you're good to go again. We love the versatility of the options. We only use Nespresso pods (roommate used off-brand pods and that's when it got stuck). It's so good I've stopped drinking Starbucks and saved a ton of money!
