I have a Glock 42 will it fit and do I need a rail?

Almost certainly, you will need a rail to mount this laser. I have a Taurus PT92 and it fits perfectly.

This says it fits a tauras g2 g3. The 5 rails dont say g2 or g3 like the others. What do i do?

I have the G2c and it does fit, I am not sure if there is G2 a non-compact model. But it did fit mine. It does come with several adaptors that fit on the top front slide to seat the Lazer unit onto the rails under the barrel you have to chose one. It then clicks into place.
