I found a review after searching "wide blade folding knife", it was for a newer push lock model & I had trouble finding one - I did find these at a decent price & went for it. I did order a thumb stud model ..so I thought but got the flipper, satin in grey G 10 - I absolutely LOVE it! The handle is a bit small in my hand but very grippable & usable. It fits comfortably with small print in pocket. Once the blade is extended it feels like a much bigger knife. It is definitely a cutter! I do own 10 or so kukri knives so that may be part of my love for this Nightshade Shilin Cutter, but most important, it just feels good & natural. Very solid & precise. The curves, relief in the handle & natural shape of the blade make releasing the very solid frame lock easy & fairly safe from the scary sharp flat grind blade. A few swipes on my ceramic turned it into a wicked scary sharp blade. Someday I may get a button lock model but I'm very happy with this one - a knife I've wanted & needed without even knowing it! Wanted one to try for awhile. Took the plunge. Very happy with quality, use and sharpness. I have always like the looks of the blade. No regrets with purchase. Recommend.

The media could not be loaded. Nice packaging, and great action out of the box. Vosteed factory edges are crazy sharp. Comparable to Spyderco IMO. I love the copper pivot collar. Also love the Shillin cutter style with the angled down blade. I collect knives and have many. This is the kind of knife that if it came put in a premium or XL edition, I'd order it instantly. Strong recommend here if you're in the market for an every day carry knife, or a great gift for someone special. Very impressive product for the price.

Good knife, but thumb hole opening mechanism is not great at all. Knife doesn’t always fully open with first thumb swipe.
