Can this be engraved?

It is possible one could have it engraved; however, the material used as the base is unknown since this item is handmade. Maybe a small engraved plaque attached to the base could be a possibility. I gave this to my granddaughter and husband-to-be as a wedding gift and it was, indeed, a lovely gift which they enjoy. I am sorry I can not give any more information.

Not sure, we gave it as a gift but I think China. I will say it was first class from the item to the box. Very impressed
