Red dot this time will not go out
When I have bought this Red Dot, in past,( but got rid of it whn wife taken ill.)worked great. But this time it would not turn off. This is a very good product, but man made can fail( this time) I will still give it 10/ 10 . It finds the stars accuratly no messing.

Pleasantly surprised for the price
Well lets be realistic this was only £15 so as I'm used to spending far more on astronomy accessories I think that this is a fair price, ok it's plastic not metal but as long as it's not mistreated will be ok, the red dot luminosity can be adjusted, position has fine adjustment and it looks clear. I started with a Celestron Astromaster 130 and have progressed onto more advanced telescopes, my daughter has an interest in Astronomy so the Astromaster will be good to give to her as an introduction. However as so many say the Astromaster has a terrible red dot finder so this will replace that. It comes with a selection of fixings but none fit the Astromaster, however I found online a 3D print that adapts the fixing for the original one for this, fortunately I have a 3D printer. I think Celestron are missing a trick here and should include an adapter for the Astromaster as most complain about the original and it must affect sales of that model scope and I think many would do the 'upgrade' to this one. If I find a need to add a red dot finder to another scope or even a camera I would certainly get another one of these. Someone mentioned screws came with it - I've not noticed any?

So simple to fit
This is a replacement for my original red dot finder which finally died. Worked right out of the box and the red dot is crystal clear. What I particularly like is that it comes with several different mount fittings, so it's 99% certain that it will fit your particular tripod mount. No hesitation in recommending this item.

Great Sight, fits my Sky Watcher and is easy to use
I have a Sky Watcher Newtonian telescope so was a bit hesitant to get this for it. The sight is actually really good! It was easy to install the battery and the housing for the foot was a little fiddly but not too bad to figure out. Once attached to the telescope, the sight was really simple to attach and calibrate. The sight gives a nice wide field of view with a bullseye in the middle. The bullseye can be dimmed or brightened as required and the dials for setting during calibration are simple to operate. This would probably suit most telescopes, as there are several footings of different shapes and sizes.

Meh....
Does what it says on the tin but its got a very meh feel to it. Only giving it three stars as the build quality is horrendous for the price

So much easier than a finder scope
After using a couple of finder scopes, admittedly of dubious quality, I bought the red dot finder after reading a few recommendations.Easy to set up and align and makes finding visible objects in the night sky a breeze.

Better than just a red dot.
This is a good bit of kit, much better than a single red dot, a big screen and two red circles to to frame your target in.
