Smaller than I expected
I bought this for my granddaughter as the one I had for my children no longer works. It is much smaller than I expected about half the size of my original one she hasn’t played with it yet so I don’t know if she will like it as much

Not worth it
It was ok to start with, but a few weeks of having it, the microphone & buttons stopped working. I've changed the batteries, but its not that! There is obviously a loose connection somewhere. Definitely not worth the price

Some fun features but till lacks compartments for EUROS
This checkout toy has some fun features: microphone that works (you have to be very close to it), scanner that beeps and lights up when you press the button (it doesn't actually scan anything, it's just make believe). Scales that produce a random price on the digital display when depressed. Picture buttons that when pressed display the product price on the screen (to one decimal point 🤔). It took me a while to realise it, but if you then press the "+" button you can add up the picture buttons, like real shopping. The main key pad is a calculator with "+,×,÷,-,=" buttons. There is a pay by card slot, which cleverly wipes the total back to zero 👍The till drawer can be opened by button and a small selection of EURO notes are provided. There are plastic coins which are pretty dreadful. The plastic has sharp bits where it was attached to the plastic frame. The coins are all the same colour, they are mostly the same size (small). The value of the coin is hardly visible due to the word "COPY" being written on top of the value. As an aid to learning how to use money, they are rather useless and that's if you want to teach your "3+" how to use Euros rather than GBP. The till drawer has only one compartment which means the already difficult to see coins are mixed up. This is a big let down to me. Ok, I'm forty something and probably don't need to play with a toy till but I'm telling you they were better in the eighties when you could identify the toy coins and count them out of the non-electic toy till ,with it's clear compartments 🤷🏻♀️. I do like the other features I mentioned though, which weren't available in the eighties 😁.The shopping basket is cute, and contains corn on the cob, a pepper a chicken, a tin of cream, a box of strawberries, tomato ketchup, bottled water and a milk carton. The toy costs £24.86 GBP 😉. I personally would rather find a till with compartments and recognisable coinage so the use of money can be learnt through play, but this toy does teach shopping in the digital era and will imitate what a child sees their parent do at the supermarket. The toy build quality (with the exception of the coins) is good. It requires 3AA batteries (not provided). It is easily assembled from the box. The toy groceries are plastic and cardboard.
