Update - I have received absolutely no response from Cross after an email to support and two phone calls to England.I have urged Amazon to remove this no longer software supported product. I explained to them thedisappointment of my elderly mother for whom it was a birthday gift. They still have9 pens for sale 5 days later. Some interesting history about the former COO of now defunct TrackR / Adero which made the Cross Peerless pen tracking software:"Kelly, who previously worked in upper management at HP, Sonos, Tesla, and Facebook, joined TrackR as COO in October 2017. The startup had recently raised $50 million (with Amazon among the backers through its Alexa Fund)"So Amazon was an investor in this failed company!This expensive pen was a complete and total disappointment. The Trackr application still promoted on the Cross site was dropped and terminated. The new Adero application apk was written specifically for Apple iPhone and the Android versions, all of which I have tried do not work correctly, and in fact do not even load.These involve downloading an APK and installing it through an alternate app store. Note that the application is not available on the Google App Store or downloadable from the Cross website and the trackr website is dead. You can find a bunch of hustler promotion material online by the programmer trying to sell his product to somebody else. A complete waste of money. What a disgrace for a storied company whose gold plated pen and pencil set I owned and cherished for years! Shameful hucksterism and brand defamation.

This pen was supposed to have a Bluetooth tracking system. Was not told system went bust a year ago. Nice pen but not what seller promised, will not buy from seller again, gave 3 as gifts and now have to explain it’s just a pen, no cool tracking when you lose it, bad seller

The location finder on the pen is useless because the app no longer exists. The price should be heavily reduced. I love the weight and the smoothness of the pen.

It’s a nice pen but the batteries only last 3 days, it takes 2 cr1220 and the instructions say that the batteries should last a year. I ordered lithium cr1220 pending delivery

LIKE: this pen is made by Cross, so, it’s a writing utensil.DISLIKE: this pen does NOT connect well like advertised. I followed all the steps in the instruction booklet; it connected for a few minutes by Bluetooth, but then out of the blue, it got disconnected. I use Tile for other tracking and it works well, but this pen is the first generation and does not connect well. It is the TrackR part of it, but it does not work.It’s so bad that even after resetting it (multiple times), it connects by Bluetooth for a few seconds, then it disconnects!DO NOT MAKE IT A GIFT!DO NOY BUY IT FOR THE TRACKING!

I had high expectations. Nice feel and weight. But the battery life is at best 30 days. Gets expensive to keep replacing batteries. The pen uses a smaller ink refill that has far less capacity than other pens. I liked the carbon fiber finish but the clear coat easily scratches, looks terrible. I had my Pen engraved. Almost impossible to read the letters. My pen is blue and the letters are a very faint yellow or light brown. Paid almost $200, expected more from Cross
