simple, compact, important to have! easy to install on wall; I use it for travel, as not all lodging establishments have CO detectors (just need to put it in a small box so packed items don't depress the on/test button!)

The only thing i would change about it is that once the battery dies thats it, you need a new one. Otherwise i love it

Works fine...replaced similar one bought at Costco 8 years ago that didn't last the 10 years stated.
As others have mentioned, why oh why did they make the screw slots a tad farther apart versus using the same width for an easy swap out? It comes with the same screws and red plastic drywall anchors as the old version just the screw slots are farther apart. Other than that, it is fine.

Portable reassurance
I bought this since we often stay in vacation rentals. This is a nice portable reassurance, since the last thing I do is check smoke and carbon monoxide alarms when I travel. Although this is fairly compact (probably 4-5 iPhones stacked on top of each other), it is not quite as small as I would otherwise prefer.. Nonetheless, it is easily packed in a suitcase or travel bag to take along on your next trip. The thermometer is a nice added feature.
