Now that I know this can be re-sharpened, I think I will use it a lot more.
My favorite blade! Just one problem, they are $$$. Guess what? It is possible to re-sharpen these to (better than original) razor sharp! I used only the (older ver. finer than newer ver.) pink very fine stone from a Lansky sharpener, with the 17° angle. It is tricky to get the blade clamped so that it sticks out enough that the stone will not hit the clamp (may need to use shims to secure in Lansky's holder). But very little force is required to sharpen. In fact, as little as possible (to avoid bending the blade and messing up the angle). One you get it in position, and clamp it real tight, a total of about 10-20 very light strokes w/ oil alternating each side and making sure to cover the whole edge will get it sharp enough to make hairs from your arm simply pop off and flee for their lives. I did this to a blade that had been used to scrape glue off the rough surface of broken ceramic, so it was severely dulled. But it came back to good as or better than new!Now that I know this can be re-sharpened, I think I will use it a lot more.

Wonderful
This blade was very sharp, and just what I needed.

Curved Cutting Surface
I really like using a curved blade. Using a straight blade means you only have one cutting surface to use. When that part is dull, you must replace the whole blade - what a waste! It does take a little extra effort to rock the blade as you cut, but they will last a LOT longer. I know it's not like saving money on a new car, but every penny saved is, well, next to worthless. But hey, it's the thought that counts, right?Try them once, I'll bet you don't go back!

CAREFUL !
Delivery was right on time, but be careful ! I have used many replaceable blades in my scale modeling hobby, but this blade in particular is the SHARPEST I have ever used. Even sharper than Olfa's own pointed #11 style blade. The sharpness helps you cut very accurately. Highly recommended.

Perfect, sharp, replacement blades.
Perfect product. I easily changed my old tarnished and dull blade out of my knife and off to work. The packaging is perfect and with no wasted materials. As I expected, being made in Japan.

excellent for ripping tight stitches
This blade is perfect for ripping the tight, tiny, seams used in paper piecing. Pops the little stitches like nobody's business. The curve lends itself well to the application, better than the angled blade. After using regular seam rippers for all my other sewing, I have to remember how sharp this blade is and keep my big fingers out of the way, but the blade does not easily slice through the fabric unless you are using too much force because your blade is dull.

These are top-notched blades.
These are top-notched blades. I use a lot of hardwoods when building scaled wooden ships and they will still hold a shape edge after others have gone dull. They may be expensive, but you get what you paid for. They will last a very, very long time before needing replacement.
