No, it's an "M" mount. Your Rebel is an EFS mount. For reference, Canon has FD, EF, EFS, M and RF mounts. The T5i is and EFS mount. Any lens that is an EF mount will work with it but it will be cropped. I believe the crop factor is x1.6. That means if you mount an EF 50mm you have to multiply by 1.6 to get to the actual focal range of 80mm. Hope this helps.
