Can this be used to check hybrid cables? for example would i be able to test a trs to xlr cable?

Yes you can definitely test hybrid audio cables. I have successfully tested female XLR to 1/4” TRS jack and 1/4” TRS to 1/8” TRS cables. As long as your cable tests across the ‘inputs’ on the CT200 with the ‘outputs’, you can use any combination. Obviously this only applies to the audio connections on the CT200 and not the data connections.
