King ArthurBaking Company Rolling Mat, Non-Slip Non-Stick Silicone

Alas, here it be. Leave it to good old King Arthur to save the Cookie Day! During the pandemic, many people who had never even heard of King Arthur Baking Company before, now were suddenly baking. All at once, everyone it seemed like, was into baking homemade bread and other goodies too. Myself included.That's when I really started becoming passionate about using top-notch baking ingredients, such as those which King Arthur Company, produces and sells. If anyone could make a superior, high quality baking mat, then it certainly had to be King Arthur, and they did: It's this one.I usually don't use a baking mat, because I can pretty well guess where all the cookie dough balls, should go. However, if there is a special function that the cookies are for, well that's different. I mean things like bake sales, potlucks, church functions, etc.. It is then that cookie uniformity really counts.This baking mat is everything I expected it to be, and more. I just hand washed it prior to use, although it is safe to put into the dishwasher. This fits a half sheet baking pan (13" x 18") just right. I had none quite that big, so I easily ordered one off of Amazon.The final thing that I wanted to mention is that it would be really helpful, if this baking mat came inside a plastic bag, with the plastic bag being inside the product carton. It was darn near impossible to remove the baking mat, from the box it came in. The silicone material of the mat, kept "sticking" to the box, when I tried to get it out.Finally, I had to actually carefully cut the box open, using scissors, to remove the mat. I absolutely like this baking mat and I recommend it. It's another great product from King Arthur Company.

I was a little shocked at first at how thin these King Arthur baking mats are. They're great quality though, I'm just used to other brands being a little thicker. They're so easy to clean, and the markings are awesome for making sure your cookies are spaced the way you need. Easy to pull your baked goods off of and good quality!

I didn't use this for cookies on my first try out of the box. It washed up easily for the first use and then I dried it and put it down to use to make bacon and some meat candy. It worked like a dream! The bacon didn't get all curled up. The strips with the brown sugar rub didn't get so sticky that it was hard to clean. It was easy to pour off the liquid gold for future use. Then it was easy to clean up, even that it was used for greasy bacon. I've come to expect top notch products from King Arthur and they hit this one out of the park for sure! For baking, the mat makes it easy for placing cookies or measuring items for spacing and adjusting if there's spreading. The code makes it easy for dough size placement. Leave it to King Arthur to take a great idea and make it 100% better. Zero disappointment! Will definitely check them out if I need any baking tools in the future!

This review is for the Cookie Mat.I like this mat a lot!I put the mat in the dishwasher before using it, and it washed with no damage or wear. I mention this because I tried another silicone baking mat and the first time I washed it, the markings peeled off! So obviously I tossed that mat. The King Arthur mat, it looks brand new and perfect.The markings are helpful for me, I make cookies like three times a year and always put them too close together.I also use the mat under my flatbreads when I cook them, instead of using foil to line the cookie sheet.

This cookie mat from King Arthur is the great quality you'd expect from them. It truly is dishwasher safe with no adverse affects, but also easily hand washable in seconds. I prefer to wash my silicone mats by hand. Your cookies should bake just as easily as they do without the mat, but more evenly and with much less mess. I wish it came in a two pack, but since it doesn't I'll definitely be buying another one or two for my holiday baking.

I always struggle with spacing my cookies properly. I don't care as much for when it's just for the family, but if I'm sharing with others, I want perfection. Dots are a super helpful visual guide that ensure proper space.Quality is good and as expected from King Arthur - like any other silpat I have gotten in the past.

This baking mat seems to be higher quality than the amazon branded mats I have purchased in the past. The material is a completely white color, dissimilar to what you find with the beige/goldish color of silpat and similar clones. Three different cookies size spacings are provided.It is really convenient to have those to prevent cookies from spreading and touching each other! It is rated for 500F, which I believe it a bit more than the other mats I have. The mat cleans up pretty well and doesn't seem to stain (the white is gleaming!).

If you've used a Silpat or similar, you aren't ready for how thin this mat is. It's nice and flexible, but still heavy enough to stay in place on a cookie sheet or half sheet pan. It didn't affect the cooking time at all, and regular sugar cookies came out perfect.The spacing guides are well-marked, and work as advertised. Cleanup is quick and easy, and it dries in seconds, since it won't absorb any water. Probably not needed for an experience baker, but for me, who makes cookies every few months, it's very appreciated.
