Brilliant upgrade – love it!
I bought the Echo Show 8 (3rd Gen) in the recent Prime Day sale and I’m so glad I did. I’ve had Echo Dots before, which were great, but this is on a whole new level. The screen is crisp and responsive, the sound quality is excellent (a big improvement over the Dot), and I love how versatile it is – from watching the news and checking the weather, to displaying photos and running Alexa routines.Setup was quick and easy, and the touchscreen makes it feel more interactive. It’s already become a staple in our kitchen.Highly recommend if you’re thinking of upgrading – especially if you can grab it on offer like I did!

Great item
I am very happy with the quality of the item. The unit, screen, brilliant speakers. I have prime videos and music. My doorbell set up ok. I bought it to replace an alarm clock. It does a great job, easy to use. The screen goes darker at night. I have not added photos yet, but look forward to seeing what else I can do with it.

Great device, but Ring integration needs improvement
Bought this in the prime day sale, I really like the picture and sound quality of the Echo Show 8. It fits nicely in our kitchen and seamlessly connects to and controls many devices. I love that it can play music and even notify me when my Amazon parcel is due! However, I've encountered an issue with the Ring doorbell integration. Despite being connected and having the right settings enabled, it won't notify me when someone is at the door or when people are detected. Other users have reported similar problems, suggesting this might be a common issue.

Echo with style
A really cool unit that was easy to set up and the size is not too intrusive in our lounge. Love they way it shows new recipes each day

Very good 👍
This is my first experience with Alexa and I'm loving it. Lots of good things to say about the echo show 8; good sound quality, voice recognition is perfect, the camera quality is also very good. You can connect to other cameras around the house and "drop in" on the alexa app. You could watch movies on Amazon, Netflix, and even YouTube on the echo show 8.

Not as good as it was supposed to be. I am finding more and more things it doesn't do rather than can do. literally the camera is only good for Amazon to see a face that's ordering. Yes you can use it for calls but this could be so much better for instance hand signals could easily be used to do certain tasks like waving hello to it to open briefing.Other items it can't do :Pair up with my other echo this is something that is quite annoying as Amazon want me to buy another new echo to play music through. So if you are looking for music sync with an older echo THINK AGAIN. It can't be that hard to create a api that works between them both. Get real Amazon not many people have hundreds of pounds to throw at your devices.Setup could be so much easier. Should have visual setup information that shows you what you can do. The only hand signal that it talks about is three fingers to double tap WHICH DOES NOT WORK. Voice recognition is still clumsy.Amazon adverts are way too much, the products that they advertise are already in my subscribe and save. Seriously Amazon?Brightness of the screen is great as well as the sound which gives it the one star.Still it looks bulky I see in the pictures the back appears small THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING it's massive and takes up so much unexpected room.Pros : Sounds good. Screen is nice.Ring integration is good it's nice to see who's at the door when this is set up as I live out the back of the house.Negatives : BIG, Bulky, Clumbsy missing the essentials UI, Not as good as you would expect, the camera leaves a lot to be desired. Makes adverts boring and pointless. (why advertise what I order every month?) why even advertise at all? Waste of amazon's money or what?IN BETWEEN: for being so advance, it's still tethered to the wall! Of course battery sold separately.....My overall opinion : It's not worth the money spent even tho I got this device on a prime day deal. It advertises products you don't need or have already ordered too much. Would expect the going rate for something like this to be 50 pounds like a fire stick. It has YouTube and Netflix but let's face it we have phones and TVs for that. It's trying to be a everything piece of equipment but fails at the first hurdle through unusable ui.Question would I buy another? If it goes down to 50 pounds maybe but it's still massive so no not really
