Ronseal (tm). Does what it says on the tin: mini dehumidifier.
What these things are not:-Cheap substitutes for larger dehumidifiers like the DeLonghi DNC60 (or larger!).As described they are for small areas/spaces like cupboards, wardrobes or perhaps smaller cabins storage areas on certain boating/camping trips. There are a variety of these out there, and are often up to £20 in price. At that price I'd say 3 stars, but this twin-pack offers good value, so hence 4.Do read the (don't worry, short) instructions as info such as the unit warming during "recharging" is important.Slight niggle with the indicator, that isn't too easy to look through in all but the best light. Also, when "full" the crystals are more an almost entirely transparent with a pink tinge, than the translucent or even solid pink implied. But the blue colour for when they are still able to absorb moisture is nice and solid, so no problem there. After doing a clothes clearout, we've already seen the effect of moisture (mold/mildew) in a wardrobe where some clothes are rarely/never taken out. We feel these dehumidifiers will help us with the long-term storage of such articles. For us the units take several days to "fill" and 6-18 hours to recharge (ie expell the moisture into a better ventilated area via warming of the crystals), so don't expect overnight miracles!

Good product, but not perfect
Does what it says on the tin. It dehumidifies my car, so I don't have to wait 5mins for my car to un-fog my windscreen and windows in the cold mornings. The bad thing about this is that it takes a long time for dry the beads in the dehumidifier (you do this by plugging it to the mains. A cable is provided) - usually overnight. Maybe this is why it comes in a pack of 2. Note: there is only one wire, so you can only plug one to the mains at a time. I would also recommend putting it on a wooden/glass table when de-humidfying it, because it can get pretty hot. You don't want to overheat your sofa or chair, and possibly start a fire.Final point, it's not small. I haven't measured it, but I'd say it's about: length 20cm, width 15cm, thickness 5cm.

The jury's still out, but...
I cannot vouch for the efficiency of these dehumidifiers, as I have not yet put them to the test. However, I must say that there are a number of issues with them. Chief among these is the absence of a proper manual, not to mention the impossibility of downloading one from Kingavon, which in its website makes it clear that it is a strictly business to business operation and as such is not open to consumer concerns. As to the dehumidifiers themselves, the method for hanging them is very precarious, to say the least. Also, they heat up enormously during charging, so it is imperative that they be kept away from children, pets and heat-sensitive surfaces. By the way, there is no charging indicator light, so you have to rely entirely on the colour of the glass beads visible through an opening in front, not an easy task as the changes in colour are rather difficult to detect. One final gripe is that the power cord goes into the bottom of the unit, which means you have to either hang it using the precarious hooks provided, or improvise some sort of pedestal. All in all, it's a rather crude, third-worldly device. I only hope its performance compensates for all the perceived shortcomings.

Works a treat
Works due to laws of physics. If you have dump problem in your bedroom this is not going to fix it - average person will sweat and breath out almost 300ml of water over 8 hour sleep . If you have room with outside connected vent, well I doubt you will dry the planet with those two little (15 cmx12 cmx3.5 cm) units - consider moving to drier parts of the world. However, if you thinking car, wardrobe, small, relatively airtight space then this does the trick. 'Charging' is simply drying it with heat generated by heating element inside. Hang them and they will not cause trouble, hot air raises from heat element at the bottom drying the beads. Don't 'charge' them upside down, lying flat or on the side because they will not dry reasonably fast or at all. I never noticed overheating and I can comfortably hold them in hand when they are connected and drying even after 24 hours or so. Colour change is easy to spot and comparison scale on the unit makes some comments here simply too hard to take seriously. What I do notice is condensation in my car if I forgot to put one on the dashboard overnight... hope this helps someone.

odd design does not make it easy to recharge---poor indicater
these should be very good they appear to have a high number of glass crystals which is the bit that makes them work but the instructions say recharge upright until indicater goes blue, recharge for 24 Hrs for full rechargeThe "UPRIGHT" bit is the problem the charger connects in the bottom so they will not stand up unless you supprt both ends so there is enough space below to incorporate the charger connection, you need about 6 inches, if you charge on their side they become far to hot.i left it on charge for more like 36 HRS but indicater still did not go blue i then left it outside for a while to see if it went red to indicate that it needed recharge it did not so i am now trying the other one to see what happensthey are well made and i would have thought they would be ideal for keeping moisture out of the car BUT the charging method is just stupid and the indicater seems not to work so you don't really know if they are working should have been able to give it more than 2 stars but just do not feel i could recommend them
