Works even with cheap 5W diode laser
It doesn't give rich black results with a low powered laser, but dark enough to be useful. Loses a star for being ludicrously expensive.

provides sharp, long-lasting markings, and the formula works seamlessly
I got these aerosol marking inks for my husband, who needed a reliable solution for marking aluminum parts in his manufacturing work. He was specifically looking for a durable formula that wouldn’t fade, rub off, or degrade under heat, while providing clear and high-contrast marking on metal surfaces. The ink comes in a convenient spray can. Before use, it just needs a good shake. Application is simple—spray a thin, even layer onto a clean surface and let it dry for about 5 minutes. One of the key benefits is that the ink doesn’t clog the laser’s nozzle, which is crucial for smooth operation during engraving. The formula is heat-resistant and doesn’t peel or flake off, even when the parts are exposed to high temperatures. After laser engraving, the result is a deep black mark that’s easy to read, even on matte aluminum surfaces.Once applied and engraved, the markings are resistant to abrasion, oils, and coolants, which is essential for parts used in mechanical systems or harsh environments.Overall, this ink fully met my husband’s expectations. It provides sharp, long-lasting markings, and the formula works seamlessly with laser equipment. It's a reliable material for industrial aluminum marking.

Useful but a little bit expensive for the size
If you are looking for a stable solution to engrave on aluminium or any metal alloy, this is the one you need to go for, although it is a little bit expensive for the size. I used to use marker/black paint to paint on the area of the metal I needed to engrave and achieved a good result, but not the best. It sometimes shows uneven colour, and it fades out over time. I tried with Brilliance Laser ink with Laserpecker 2, the result is very good and stable. The application is straightforward, cleanse and dry the surface well, shake the paint and spray from 6-8 inches away, leave it dry, then use the laser engraver to etch on it. The result is stable and long-lasting. I would suggest using it if it is for a professional job, but it is a bit too expensive for a leisure hobbyist like me.

markings are highly durable, don’t rub off, and remain clearly visible
As the owner of a small workshop, I’ve tried many sprays for laser marking, but this ink really stands out. I ordered it for marking aluminum device enclosures, as I needed to apply serial numbers and logos—and I wasn’t disappointed.I used it on various metal surfaces, and the results were excellent. I liked how easy it was to apply: just shake the can, spray from a distance of 6–8 inches, and it’s ready to go. The application is even and smooth. The anti-clogging feature really works—no issues with the nozzle, which is a big plus. The ink dries quickly, and I noticed that the markings come out sharp and vivid.I used it on both aluminum and steel, and the results were consistently great. The markings are highly durable, don’t rub off, and remain clearly visible. Cleanup after use was also easy—just a quick rinse and wipe. This laser marking ink delivers excellent quality and is incredibly easy to use.

overpriced. nice product but inconsistent results.
this item is listed at about 150% of it's typical price so is very overpriced for what you receive.the spray itself is straightforward to use and when it works does give a nice crisp result. sadly it seems to be quite hit and miss and results can be quite inconsistent. with such a small supply at an inflated price mistakes are much more costly so overall my impression is middling at best.if you can get it at a better price and spend time really learning to utilise it properly i'm sure it would fare much better but within the constraints of this review sadly it doesn't really give me enough of a reason to be able to recommend it.

Expensive for the size
At time of ordering this was priced at £35.00It works, but it is terrible value for money. If you look around on other sites you'll be able to see what the actual market value of it is.

good quality
I ordered this laser marking ink for our small workshop, where we specialize in marking aluminum parts for industrial clients. We needed a reliable formula compatible with our fiber laser to produce clear and durable codes on products that often face high temperatures and mechanical stress. The ink comes in a compact aerosol can. Application is simple — just spray it onto the prepped surface before laser engraving. No complex setup or connections are required. The can is equipped with a convenient nozzle that ensures an even coat without drips. In the past, we had issues with laser head clogging due to poor-quality inks. With this one, that problem disappeared — the formula leaves no residue, which helps extend the lifespan of our equipment. The markings can withstand heat up to 300°C, which is crucial for parts used in automotive engines. Even after thermal processing, the engravings remain sharp and legible.I especially liked the compatibility with both CO2 and fiber lasers. We tested it on both types of machines, and the result was consistently high-contrast and wear-resistant. This makes it easier to handle different orders without switching materials. This laser marking ink exceeded expectations. The markings are noticeably more durable, and the lack of laser clogging has saved us time and maintenance costs.

Works on diode lasers too
Brilliance 2 oz Black Laser Ink.The headlines state that this ink is suitable with CO2 and Fibre lasers. The small print further down includes 10 watt diodes and a picture states that for diode lasers a minimum of 20 watts required.I tried this ink out on a 10 watt diode laser. I initially cleaned the aluminium surface with steel wool and after spraying, the coating dried quickly leaving a powdery white texture. The laser settings were 2 passes at 400 mm/m and 90%.This resulted in a nice lined image. This product does work as advertised but it is expensive.
