Completely exceeded expectations
Out of the box it feels like a high quality and heavy bit of kit, really solid. Fitting it took a little time, I wanted to minimise the vibration transmitted through it's mounts so used a bit of MDF under the passenger seat and used bike inner tube rubber between all the fittings. The sound is fantastic, I have an Alpine set up that was crystal clear but lacking oomph, the USW10 adds more oomph than I could of ever expected for something so compact. I'd give it 6 out of 5 if I could.

Three Stars
Okay but not a replacement for a well fitted sub and amp.

Not bad... easy to install
Can't really improve on the reviews below. Only thing I will point out is the instructions show different connections to the high level input than the wiring loom provided. The wiring loom has a left and right high level cable, where as the instructions just say to use one pair.I connected both anyway and it worked fine.Good output, but if you wind it up to 100%, it does get a little 'boomy'. Good power however for its size.

Awesome bass response in a Toyota IQ
I've just installed this in my Toyota IQ2 - excellent sound and bass response. The installation took me pretty much all day but I wasn't in a rush and I absolutely hate cables showing, so I routed all the cables with the factory wiring looms. There is a P-Cont wire which baffled me initially until I realised that this is the wire that ideally should go to a power source coming from your stereo (when it turns on) or failing that just an ignition power source like the cigarette lighter. I was tempted to take the big fat yellow cable from the cigarette lighter too but I wanted to do a proper job and routed that through to the battery as I imagine this might take quite a bit of power at high volumes. I located the wires for the rear speakers from the factory head unit and soldered the subs wires onto that. I mounted the sub underneath the passenger seat more towards the front and had to fabricate some aluminium brackets to fit underneath the passenger seat rail bolts. I then bolted these to the brackets that come with the subwoofer. As the IQ has such restricted rear passenger space I didn't want people sitting at the back to be noticing it. I use this in combination with the factory CD player installed in the IQ with the standard speakers and a Pure Highway 600 bluetooth system - sounds absolutely great. Highly recommend but I recommend for installation taking the time to do a neat job of the wiring.

Outstanding!
I spent weeks researching, not really wanting to compromise sound quality just because my car doesn't have space for a large subwoofer. Kenwood and alpine do similar units but some of the reviews were a bit neutral. I decided on the USW10, mostly due to the good reviews on amazon and I couldn't be happier. For an 8" sub you can't ask for more, it punches well above its weight. I listen to a very varied mixture of music, from trance to classical and this sub copes with it all. If you want it to blow your windows out with deep bass, it can. If you want it to tickle your ears with soft bass it can be put to a lower setting with the turn of a dial (a remote unit that can be mounted anywhere in the car).To summarise, an easy 5 star rating.

very good sound and value
I purchased one of these from the car audio centre in nottingham, to be honest i wasnt expecting much from this little tiny sub woofer, but to say im impressed is an understatement, this litle tiny box of lovelyness looks and sounds great, it is so compact that i have managed to fit it in the passenger footwell of my toyota mr2, the best thing is that it has a remote control bass adjuster so i can turn it up or down to suit the music
