Does the hose fits inside the hole or over the hole?

I ended up getting rid of mine. But if i remember. The hose barely stretches and we had to put it inside the hole.

fit it on top of the section protruding from cup lid and fit hose inside

it's plastic and ended up cracking. I don't recommend buying
