Softtouch Ballet Barre 5.5ft Portable Dance Bar - Adjustable Height 31" - 49" - Freestanding Stretch Barre 66"

The build on this is really sturdy, the assembly is really easy, it is 2 screws on each of the feet and where the leg attaches to the barre. The screws that set the height are really heavy duty. You can also take the lower part of the legs off in case you needed to travel with it or store it without having to take everything apart.As a test I leaned on it to see if it could handle my weight, I'm around 200lbs and it didn't give. I'm a photographer that does dance so I needed something so they can do their warmups on. They all like how portable it is and some have even asked where they could get it.

Sturdy bar, and easily put together. It is perfect for what I need it for. The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five, is due to the slight corrosion and paint chipped off of the grey adjustable parts, and the end cap was smashed. I believe this is because it appears to have been assembled (and perhaps returned) at one point, but definitely has not been used. There also is a metallic odor but thats to be expected - its metal bar, lol.All in all, it's a good product - I do plan on buying foam and gymnast tape to cover the bar.*Update* Sorry for the delay, in complete transparency I forgot to update - Anyways, the seller sent me out new end caps, no charge. Product is great. Works really well.

Solid, sturdy, easy to put together, would have been perfect if it weren't for the paint stripping off the horizontal bar in big pieces. (I see now another reviewer had the same issue.) They replied to my message immediately and were apologetic, but I'm still left without a Christmas present for my daughter.

Very sturdy but easy to move. It's so much more secure than hanging on to a chair. Piece-a-cake to assemble. Everything fits with precision. Glad I was nutty enough to get this.

Tired of receiving substandard equipment from Amazon. Happened a few weeks back when some weights I ordered were not the brand I ordered, they were a cheap substitute. They reshipped them and send the same cheap things again, not what was in the picture. I ordered this because it had good reviews. The "Softtouch" surface has a huge chip out of it that is covered in rust. And the stand part is uneven, every time I move it jiggles. I'm recovering from a serious knee injury and I don't like the instability of this. I just plain don't have the energy to pack this back up and return it so I will just use it only because the big chip is near the end, but this is the last time I will be ordering anything off of this site.

I looked at a lot of Ballet Barre at much higher prices (which I couldn't afford) and this one got good reviews and the price was certainly right so I gave it a try. I am amazed at how sturdy this barre is. It went together quick and easily. It is adjustable and is balanced well. Does not tilt or "walk around". The barre is not wood, but a comfortable metal which I found no problem with. Highly recommend for those looking for a ballet or exercise barre and not wanting to spend a great deal.

I bought this barre for my 11 year old daughter. It works great. It' doesn't tip, very sturdy. I would have given it 5 stars except when I received the barre the plastic covers at each end of the barre were cracked and brittle and one even broke off. I ended up just getting a piece of rubber for each end which works fine.

I have a large Pilates studio, but LOTS of equipment, so space is very limited. I purchased 5 of these and they are PERFECT! Easy to assemble. Easy to move around and store out of the way (without disassembling). They are incredibly sturdy. If you can't have a wall mounted barre or floor mounted barre...this is what you need!
