AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT
I wrote my first review with following details under headline "Mouthpiece is not adequately deep to prevent air leak from tyre while measuring pressure". After this review the seller admitted "For your query about air leakage . We want to state that if at any angle air is leaking it may be a faulty piece. there is a black rubber ring inside the mouth piece which may not be properly aligned. We suggest you to return and replace for a new piece. Earlier also some buyers told us about the issue So we have got the mouth piece made more deeper. That lot has just started selling. So Please request amazon for replacement or return and buy again your money will be refunded. We will help you if any problem. You can also contact on email given on the box." Accordingly a replacement was ordered and the replaced product is WORKING PERFECTLY FINE. Even the pressure reading is exactly matching with digital air pressure pump at petrol pumps.Descriptions of pictures:Pic. 1: Contents of the package: 1 No. Karter KTR-001 Tyre Pressure gauge along with 4 Nos. of tyre valve cap in a good cardboard box.Pic. 2 & 3: User manual. Well written.Pic. 4 & 5: Writings over the box - adequate information.Pic. 6 & 7: The product. Study and rugged built. Overall dimensions: Height - 12.5 cm (approx.), Diameter of dial - 4.7 cm (approx.), Depth - 3.3 cm (approx.) Size is quite handy. The dial scale is 0 to 60 psi - better than other dial scale of 0 - 100 psi as the former scale is more spread out, reading from the former would be easier.Pic. 8: The picture of mouth piece with inadequate depth that causes air leakage while measuring and the leakage can not be arrested even after trying with different holding/orientation angle. Sorry for not sharp picture. In case any user faces same problem, then please get in touch with the seller and the seller might advise you for a replacement (as they did for me).Pic. 9: The mouth piece of replaced product which works perfectly fine. The difference in depth (from Pic. 8) may be few millimetre, but that solves air leakage problem.Pic. 10: However while handling the replaced product I faced another problem, but that I could resolve myself, however I wish to share the same to help other users. While rotating the 360° swivel chuck (refer Pic. 2 to identify the part) or mouth piece, the top part came out and few internal parts popped up outside.Pic. 11: Internal parts that popped out - a spring, a nozzle, a black rubber circular piece, a white plastic circular piece. Sequence of re-installation of these items are marked in the picture.Pic. 12, 13, 14 & 15: Re-installation of these internal parts step by step pictures. With this sequence of re-installation of internal parts the product is working, however if anyone finds there should be a difference sequence, then please do share.

Seems accurate but pressure hold feature may stop working eventually
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this on 15 Jun 2023 because I wanted an analog pressure gauge that didn't require batteries or maintenance and I like looking at analog dials. There's something very tangible about analog gauges that feel like real instruments! This seemed like a good option. But after a year of usage, it started to leak air and not hold the pressures properly, despite cleaning it multiple times as suggested by the manufacturer.I've used this for about a year for my Nissan Magnite. It requires 36 PSI of pressure on all tires and that reading falls squarely in the middle of this gauge's readings. This ensures that the readings are accurate. (It is always good to have a pressure gauge (bourdon tube type) with a scale that has typical readings in the middle of the scale. Readings that are at the lower end and upper end of the scale do not guarantee accurate readings. This is true for all bourdon tube type instruments.Pros:1. This seems to be built well.2. The readings are very clear. The dial is amazing. It lets me measure readings that are accurate to within 1 PSI3. This is ANSI 2% calibrated gauge so we can be a little sure that the readings are close enough.4. The bleed button is very useful.5. Rotating nozzle is extremely important (especially when the bleed button starts to leak)6. The reset or bleed button springs the needle back to 0. It's amazing to look at. I'm a sucker for mechanical things and this is just so satisfying to see.Cons1. After a year of usage, it developed the issue of not holding a reading. See the attached video on how the reading starts falling as soon as we remove it from the valve. This flaw seems to have developed near the bleed button mechanism due to dirt or contaminants entering it. There are multiple instructional videos and Karter's own disclaimer on how to clean the gauge to ensure that it hold the air properly. I had cleaned it multiple times, blew air through it but it still doesn't hold pressure properly. Although it doesn't hold a reading, it is still useful and accurate because the actual reading when holding the nozzle at the valve is the most accurate. But because the neck is so small, it becomes a little hard to keep holding the gauge at the valve while reading the values. This is all due to the improperly designed bleeder valve. Maybe Karter should redesign this.2. Because I'm out of warranty, I can't even claim replacement for it. It had worked perfectly for about a year and suddenly it developed this flaw one fine morning.I would advise anyone buying this to not use the bleed button while you're taking readings. There's a possibility that some dust or debris from inside the tyre (rubber or dust particles) may enter the bleed button mechanism and you can develop the leak issue and your readings will no longer hold.Maybe Karter should have given a spare bleed button mechanism.I'm still going to continue using this gauge as a backup and as a verification gauge because the readings will still be accurate (even if the pressure hold feature doesn't work). The principle of bourdon tube type gauges is very simple and effective.Overall, I was satisfied for about a year and now, I'm sad that a part of its feature doesn't work.

Excellent and sturdy Pressure Gauge
Build quality is very good and I have found the readings fairly accurate.I was impressed with the support provided by the Seller even after more than a year of purchase. I misplaced the front tip of the Guage and the seller sent me two pieces of them for free. Rare to see such supporting gesture.!!!
