Why did you pick this product vs others?:Looks and ease of using. It is well built and so easy to put together to use. I used it to slice baguette and I like to slice diagonal. This made it so easy to do that and each slice was the same thickness. For me, it works perfect!

I love my Biscotti Miter Box. I put tape on ends because I had hard time seeing. PARALEX view. But perfect size every time. Yes yes buy it.

I've only used this once so far, but Wow; what a difference it makes to be able to have uniform slices! Really easy to use, cleans up in a jiffy.

If you need a sturdy slicer and don't want plastic sawdust on your bread, this is the slicer you will want to get. Very well made, adjustable and stores completely flat. I would give it 5 stars, but the silicone footers that are supposed to grip the table/counter, do not work well.

Be aware. I didn’t pay much attention to the dimensions but maybe should have. The bad: it’s much smaller than what it appears in the pictures with bread on it on Amazon. Although it may be 9 inches long you’re not going to fit a 9 inch loaf into it when using the plastic position-stop plate in longest position. An 8 inch loaf looks like it will fit, which is an inch shorter than my (what I assume are) standard size bread pans. And that is the cutting board, not the length that the cutting guides run. Given the small size, storage should be easier. But you will need to move cut slices out of the way to deal with longer loaves of bread. The good: the metal cutting guides are closer together than they appear in the pictures. This should provide greater variability in slice thickness. I have not actually used it to cut bread yet. The unit appears sturdy.

Works great. I bought this as a replacement for one with wood/bamboo guides that kept leaving shavings in the bread. No issue with the metal guides on this one.

Really like the even bread slices. The steel rods are very sturdy. Still have to turn the bread loaf to slice through the bottom. Other than that, it’s great.

Took off 2 more stars. No matter how I try and use this my slices are crooked. After study I realized the problem. It is the wide gaps between the rungs. Because they are wide the knife slips and I end up with thin on top to wide on the bottom. It the rungs were close together, with just a knife width then this would be perfect. As it is I am now looking for anouther slicer.I love how sturdy this is, how it has more than one option for loaf sizes. It is also very pretty if you need to leave it out, but you can also put it in a drawer as the parts can be separated. Overall I love it but had to take off one star because the slices this makes are really skinny (good for those who want thin slices) or thick like Texas toast. I find to get a normal for me slice, I have to cut using the metal prongs on the right side and not leaning toward the left where I naturally want to cut.I'm sure the more I use it the easier it will be for me to cut sandwich size slices.
