Very impressive
Honestly super impressed with this little wallet, let me start by saying I’ve had a ridge wallet for years, and finally decided to go the extra step and get the new Biflex a few months ago, and I couldn’t be happier. The included photos are to show what 6 cards and nearly $400 (50’s and 20’s) in cash looks like in such a small package. Definitely makes it a bit difficult to get the cash out but I don’t believe they rated it for such a load. Overall it’s getting a 5 star review, 10 if I could. Functionality wise it’s perfect, slim and small, with less cash it’s easy quite easy to the cards out. The leather is great quality and even starting to patina after only a few months that being said the cobalt blue is a beautiful color and only gets better with time. May be a little pricey for most which makes sense giving its original price of $115 and sale price of $85 which I think is now the actual price, but overall would definitely recommend for yourself and/or as a gift. 10/10 would buy again!

The MKBHD Ridge Biflex is a winner!
I recently purchased two Ridge Biflex wallets. One is in the Cobalt Blue leather option and the other is the black leather MKBHD version. I much prefer the MKBHD version with the half moon cutout in the middle as opposed to the traditional cutout which is closer to the edge per their traditional design. I’ve read where people have complained about not being able to push cards up on the other side where the full oval thumb/finger push opening is located. I haven’t had that issue at all. The Biflex disappears in the pocket and weighs nothing. Time will tell how well the elastic holds up, although it seems to be of excellent quality. This wallet is easy to use, albeit a bit on the pricey side, but the function and design specifically meet my needs. I cut my teeth on Ridge wallets many years ago and have several of their traditional offerings but I have to say this new Biflex is a great new direction since the footprint is much smaller and lighter than their aluminum counterpart. I can remember back when Ridge used plastic for the cover pieces before they switched to aluminum or titanium.

Embarrassing gift
Seems like a great concept. Got it for my husband and he loved it. He said it held what he needed, was slim for his pocket and really liked the style. But shortly afterwards this expensive wallet started falling apart piece by piece. The screws fall out and good luck finding those tiny things, the leather and stitching was falling apart, it was an expensive gift that lasted about a month. Of course right at 30 days so you can’t return, exchange, or get any help for it. Go for a better brand that’s less expensive, I bet it’s way better bc anything is better than this one.

As advertised
As advertised. One thing I noticed was the leather covers over the aluminum plates have plastic type covers behind them, possibly for rigid support I imagine. This was not a deal breaker for me, though I was expecting solid leather only. I think this is good in the sense the leather won't easily come apart from the screws. I was apprehensive in buying the ridge wallet initially, due to the elastic strap concept, concerned it would fail quickly. I have had it for 3 weeks now and I haven't noticed any wear on the elastic and it functions well so far. It says 12 card max but I only need to carry 10. The cash strap has fixed silicone dots underneath that grabs the bills so the money won't slip out. Overall, decently made but overpriced imo.

Go for the deals!
It is very small. But it also holds six cards nicely. Elastic money band works well. You can fit it in your front pocket or a smaller pocket.

Ridge Biflex MKBHD
I wanted to try out a Ridge wallet, but did not like the metallic tool kit-like Ridge wallets. When I saw that the Biflex is made of leather and elastic, I decided to go for it. First the positives: nice form factor; truly a minimal wallet; fits nicely in any pocket without bulge; soft without metal; decent capacity to hold sufficient cards; prefer the semi-circular cut being in the middle rather than on the side that makes it easy to push out cards. Now the negatives: the thumb opening on the other side has no functionality— one cannot push out cards or cash and getting cards or cash out of that pocket is an ordeal. If there was no thumb opening and instead this pocket had a wide cut out at the top (like the outer back pocket cut-outs in the Swanfield wallets by Carl Friedrik) , it would provide good functionality by allowing one to pinch the cards or cash and pull them out. I must admit that when one pulls out this minimalist wallet, it looks cool. But all the coolness ends when one struggles to get cards or cash out of the pocket with the thumb opening. This thumb opening may help one differentiate between the two pockets, but the usefulness ends there. Next, the price for this tiny piece of leather and elastic is ridiculous. Also, as the leather and elastic are sewn together, if the elastic gives, then the whole wallet will need to be replaced. I need to mention that the leather has an odd chemical smell. In the end, Ridge wallets may be preferred by a lot of young people, but it’s not my cup of tea. I would rather stick with Groove Life wallets (V2) with leather go attachments, Ekster card holder pro, Proof wallets and Double Oak Essentials wallets like, the cloud, slim version or even the Trak wallets. If I want a more traditional looking gift-worthy wallet with modern twists, I would go with Kings Loot supreme/special edition wallets or money clips (although a bit bulky). It may feel nice to pull a minimalist wallet (like the Ridge Biflex) out of the pocket in front of friends, but it is pointless if one has to compromise on usability/functionality and value for the money. If one prefers a bottle opener type minimalist wallet, Axwell is a much better product. Akeeni XSTO will make one feel that the Ridge is from the stone ages. People may wonder why so many YouTube influencers highly recommend Ridge wallets. Well, the secret is that Ridge pays these social media influencers 30% of whatever they can sell as opposed to other companies that pay 10%. So, no wonder Ridge wallets are so expensive. Ridge is a “one trick pony” that has shown zero innovation since the first version of their products. Other companies have used modern technology to advance/improve their products. Don’t fall for the hype and do your own research before wasting money on Ridge products.

Once you go RIDGE you never go back
Great looking wallet! I get lots of compliments on it. Leather holds up very well. My only issue is that my screws came undone and I lost the extra screws that come in the box so make sure you put those in a safe place. The reason for that is I carry too many plastic cards. This now makes Ridge wallet number two.
