The only Controller you will need to play the fun Amazon firestick games.
If you are like me and discovered the awesome fun to play free games on the Amazon Firestick you will soon find out that trying to play these games with the Alexa Firestick remote just plain sucks, and you will be instantly looking for the game controller the games suggest. Out of the plastic this controller felt nice and sturdy, and comfortable in my hands, the buttons feel fluid like a playstation controller. The only thing lacking from this controller is vibration so if you want that you better off finding something else. But if you are like me and looking for a good low priced sturdy game controller, and don't care for vibration like I did than I would strongly suggest buying this controller. It is one of the best if not thee best low priced controllers for the Amazon Firestick, because all the games work really well with it no problems. Note this controller does not just instantly sync to Amazon Firestick out of the plastic, it should be charged for a little while first before trying to sync it. I tried to plug it in with usb and couldn't get it to sync, and the controller kept saying the charge was low, so I decided to wait till it was charged before trying to sync again. I also looked up online how other people said how to sync it. The awesome part I found out is it does sync and register as an Amazon Firestick gamepad so this is the bluetooth setting you will need to select to sync it under the Amazon Firestick bluetooth settings, not under remote or other bluetooth devices. All you have to do is press the M/home button and A at the same time and hold them, then when it syncs on screen it will show up as Amazon Firestick Gamepad or as a Game controller, select that and you are all set. The Game Controller works like it was just made for the Firestick and now syncs every time you turn on the Firestick by just pressing the M button. I was really amazed how well it worked with all the games I was playing, and the button set up for the games was right on. Also I love the controller never needs batteries, just recharge with usb thats it, and it lasts for hours of play.My step by step instructions for syncing this controller with Amazon Firestick. I would suggest following them in this exact order: Step #1 buy this game controller. :D Step #2 Open the plastic and take out the controller and usb cable. Step #3 Plug the micro usb end of the cable into the game controller and the usb end into either a computer usb port or a usb hub that can be used for charging. Charge for about a half hour or more. Step #4 Once it is charged for about a half hour to an hour. Go into the Amazon firestick settings and select Bluetooth devices, than select Amazon Firestick Game Controllers under that menu, and then press and hold the middle M Button+ A button on the Game Controller. On Screen you will notice it say something like gamepad or game controller select that and you're are all set to go that's it.

Quality Controller, excellent battery life.
It doesn't have vibration motors that I can discern, however, this controller is marvelous. The battery life is amazing and it fits the hands good and the materials are of great quality. My only concern is it was hard to find a bracket mount for the phone, you either have to buy one from gamesir, possibly wish, or buy one of those phone mounts that hang around your neck. I did both and don't regret either purchase. I bought the gamesir 3gs since it had the game mount and noticed the difference immediately.Pros for the 3gs are the game mount, light up buttons and the accompanying app gamesir world. The app works like a keymapper if your phone is rooted, which makes it so you can use the gamesir controller in many games that don't have gamepad support. It doesn't work with the matricom xyba.Cons of gamesir. Battery life, this is made more apparent because the matricom controller has such a superior battery the gamesir controller doesn't even compare. With the Matricom controller you can actually get a few days out of it even with heavy usage, maybe a day with the gamesir controller if you're lucky... The buttons are convex, so it can get tiring pressing the buttons after a while. The buttons are loud. Google keeps trying to uninstall the gamesir app citing it as a security risk... I don't know if that's true or not...Either way, this controller is of high quality, which is surprising given its humble price. I may be investing in a second one as a backup, or for a third player if Dreamcast emulation ever picks up steam...Btw's, Turbo works at an acceptable rate, just don't be mislead by the LED it works at a higher rate than the flashes.

Very Good Controller. See my updates towards the bottom.
I am a bit disappointed with this controller. I had the Matricom G-Pad BX Wireless USB Rechargeable Bluetooth Pro Game Pad Joystick (Samsung Gear VR and G-Box Compatible!) , but gave it to my little sister, who came to my house, saw my Fire TV and liked the setup I had. So she went out and bought her own fire stick.I bought this controller, thinking that I was getting an upgrade, which I did in certain aspects. So I guess my review is mainly a comparison between this controller and the one I had before. I thought this would be the same controller with better buttons, better grip, and better Racing triggers (L2 and R2). The controller does have a better feel in the hands, and it does have better L2/R2 buttons that are variable position triggers. I like that it has a "clear" button so its easy to turn off turbo if you accidentally enabled it. I also like that it uses micro USB to charge, vs the old one that used mini USB. It does have better buttons, but they get stuck inside their holes when pressed very hard, especially the A button. The other controller also had vibration enabled, and while it didn't work with my Fire TV games, it would vibrate when it connected via bluetooth when you turned the controller on.I also just don't like the way this controller works. The old controller required only simple press of the home button to turn it on, then it would vibrate to let you know that it is connected. This controller requires you to hold it for a few seconds to turn on. This controller doesn't tell you when the battery gets low. What it will do is stop sending your button presses to your device when the battery gets low. So it will still be connected to the device via bluetooth, but you can't do anything. Took me a while to figure out what was going on. I would turn of the controller and then turn it back on and it would work for a few minutes the mess up in the middle of an important part of the game. Plugging it into the charger fixes this problem. The light on the other controller would start blinking as the battery got low, and you could play for like another hour. It wouldn't stop working until the controller was dead. All in all, it's a good controller. For my purposes, the other controller was better. The better buttons and racing triggers don't really help me that much, and it disconnects at points when I don't expect it to. Plus the A button gets stuck a lot. I may have gotten a defective one, but I don't want to have to send it back get a refund and order again. Too much hassle.UPDATE: (1/5/2017)I went to visit my family, and while the older version works well with the Fire TV, it is very laggy on my sister's Fire Stick. This is controller is FAR superior when it comes to using it with the new Fire Stick and responsiveness. The older one also works very well with a computer, but you have to plug it directly into it. Also, over time the buttons stopped getting stuck in their holes. I don't know if I wore them down, but this controller is actually working better now. As long as I remember to charge it. It still doesn't give you a low battery warning, it just disconnects in the middle of your game. I would update to a 3 and 1/2 stars if I could, but I can't so I will leave it at a three fore the reasons above.UPDATE: (5/22/2018)This controller is still working with good battery life. The only problem I found with this controller is that it will not pair to the original Fire TV Box and it doesn't give you a low battery alert. After using this controller for almost two years, I must say that I am thoroughly satisfied with it. So satisfied that I am going to order another one. I just charge it after each use so that I am not caught off guard with the battery dying without warning. It's definitely better than the Fire Game Controller that uses batteries. I have been using it for Gamefly game streaming for the past month and it is great. Matricom G-Pad BX Wireless USB Rechargeable Bluetooth Pro Game Pad Joystick (Samsung Gear VR and G-Box Compatible!)

Serious Latency/Lag Issues!!! READ ON...
I purchased 2 of these for my two 9 year old boys (and me! lol) to play games on the Amazon Fire Stick, and also Amazon Fire TV (both is separate rooms in our home). Connection was super simple, just hold down the "A" button and the middle "Home" button for 2 seconds until android light at the bottom of the controller starts flashing, then in your Amazon settings click on Bluetooth devices, other devices (NOT CONTROLLER, BUT "OTHER DEVICES), start syncing, the name "Gamepad" will pop up, and simply click on Gamepad, and boom, your connected. Worked great with both my Fire Box and Fire Stick (both 2nd Gen). Now time for performance... These controllers have serious lag/latency issues, not sure IF its the controllers themselves, or just the way the Fire Box and Fire Stick receive the Bluetooth signal, but it def can be better. Don't expect to play a fighting game with these, you push to the right or left, and the character doesn't move that direction for a good half a second, sometimes it feels like a full second. I was playing PunchOut all day yesterday on the fire Stick and Fire Box (the original NES game), and had to get the timing down for when i was about to get punched, i basically had to predict a second beforehand when they were gonna punch me due to the latency issue. I gotta say, that PunchOut is pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to beat with this controller. When i got to the 6th fighter in the game, it was literally impossible to move out the way intime to avoid his punches, they were to quick and my controller was to slow to respond intime for me to move out the way. I also played a bit of Mortal Kombat 2 and 3 for SNES emulator on the Fire Stick and Fire Box. Still, same issue, its impossible to play as the controller don't react in-time to the fast action. Now, a game like Tetris was fine for this, or even a game like Mario Brothers, ie side scrolling games are fine, even some racing games i was watching my kids play, and they were controlling the cars just fine (as you can see the turn coming up ahead, so you can judge your timing)! If you are playing games that involve precise precision and that is fast moving where you need to move out the way at a seconds notice, i would look elsewhere. I am tempted to get the actual Amazon Controller that was made for the Fire Stick/Box, but not sure i want to take the Gamble on $50 as this latency issue could be with Amazons product and not the controllers themselves. BTW, the controllers are made great, good quality and not one of them died on us yesterday after charging and playing all day! Controllers charge via micro USB (same as your cell phone). With that said, i still gave this controller 3 stars due to my kids loving them and not really having an issue with the Android games they play. YES, there is STILL the same amount of lag with the games they play, they are just to young to really complain about it, as before we got these they were playing their games with the tiny remote supplied, so of-course they were in heaven having an actual controllers in hand. Also, my kids play more side scrolling games and racing games, which it works fine with. In the end, if these are strickly for the kids, id still get them. If you are looking to play fighting games on this, you better forget about! We are looking into getting the Nvidia Sheild Android Box soon, which was more made for Video Games compared to these Amazon products. I will be getting to the bottom of this though, im gonna try to figure out if the lag is coming from the controllers or Amazons products. I will say, when i looked up reviews for Amazons Controller i did not see anyone complain about lag or latency issues as i have seen with this controller. I will update this review if i end up bitting the bullet and picking up a different controller.:)

Fire TV gen 2 2015 owners read this!
Update: this update is literally a day later. I have connected it to my fire tv, but it disconnects every 10 minutes. I’m sitting about 8 feet away from my fire tv. So I’m back to square one. Returning this thing.I have Fire TV generation 2 2015 that I put some emulators on, and was using a Matricom BX with it. But the BX has a horrible d-pad. So I ordered this thinking since it’s from the same company, it will work. I spent 1 hour trying to pair it like I did my BX, and the Fire tv refused to recognize it. So I boxed it up and started a return. So I was browsing for another controller, and saw someone mention a different way to pair it. This was a “Gamsir” controller. Which just so happens to look identical to this XYBA controller. So I tried it that way, and BOOM connected right away. Here’s how: go to the “connect game controller” option. NOT the “connect Bluetooth device” option. When you’re inside the connect game controller option on the Fire tv, take your controller and press the ‘M’ + ‘B’ buttons together for 2 seconds. And your controller should come up as “game pad”.SUCCESS!As for the controller, it’s awesome! Can’t be beat for the price. Works nicely for ALL games. It’s comfy, has a nice grip, great d-pad, rechargeable battery, and no lag!Love it to bits. So glad I didn’t return it!
