Fantastic illustrations and pictures, suitable for every level.
This is most probably one of the best modelling books ever put together much easier to follow and much better than many others I have read and I have read and own many. The book follows a logical sequence that takes you through all the stages required from preparation to the finished product including baseing, buildings and vehicles. This is such a valuable book for a complete novice or an advanced moddeler, it covers so much and is so easy to follow and use it's just brilliant. The book also covers many other subjects too many to list, but in addition there are sections on the most popular subjects such as Napoleonic, Wild West, ACW and much more. The pictures are just fantastic and a delight to relate to when reading the information regarding each particular subject.Fantastic book that you will not regret buying if you decide to do so.

Eye Candy
This is an eagerly awaited follow up to another of Mr Dallimore's books on painting miniature wargame figures which I thought was awesome. This one has hundreds of colour photographs explaining how to achieve the results illustrated in the book. The book is split up into various sections detailing specific skills for different types of figure painting and effects.Mr Dallimore has also featured many guest figure painters from the hobby to share some of their techniques and various painting styles.A must have for any serious wargamer or for those of us who can only aspire to the skills required to achieve the end results.Pure eye candy.

Even beter than the first book
I thoroughly enjoyed Kevin Dallimore's first book on painting figures and my painting improved dramicitcally by using the techniques and paints described. This new book is filled even more mouth watering illustrations and step-by-step guides which makes the methods so much easier to follow. The strength of both books is in how well the steps are described and illusrated. I'm really looking forward to sitting down and trying out the techniques described here - truly a master class.

Masterful Master Class
I didn't think it was possible to put together a more thorough and detailed guide to painting miniatures than Kevin's first book, but somehow he's managed to do it!After a recap of the preparation and painting essentials, which are fully detailed in his first book (I'd still recommend getting that as well if you haven't already)Keviin moves into more advanced areas of the hobby such as conversions, dioramas and vehicles. All of these are explained step by step with beautiful clear photographs. An added bonus with this volume is that Kevin is joined by many other talented painters and modellers, providing fresh ideas for different techniques and approaches to Kevin's own style. Again these are illustrated with loads of photos of superbly painted models. If you are interested in painting miniatures, modelling or wargaming in any way, then this is THE book for you; a massive 308 pages full of information, tips and photos that will keep you coming back for inspiration time after time!

A must have book.
After reading Mr Dallimore's first book my figure painting improved overnight and finally, I was able to create good looking wargames units that I was happy to put on the gaming table. This second book reviews, briefly, the skills he introduced, but then the treasure chest is opened and Mr Dallimore, along with lots of guest painters, explains those advanced techniques that get figures really noticed. Blending, feathering, non-metallic metal, basing, conversions, assembling and painting resin vehicles, etc etc - all at an advanced level. The best thing about the book is the huge number of big, colour photos, superbly reproduced. You can see exactly what the painter has done, which is hugely instructive. I've had the book for nearly a month and consider it the best money I've ever invested in my hobby - I've actually sold a painted figure on Ebay ;-)

The latest in the collection of useful and interesting books by Kevin Michael Dallimore. This one continues to teach advanced as well as the more basic techniques used in figure painting. The photography is excellent and illustrates the various styles used by Dallimore and other guest contributors. Covering a wealth of objects and objectives, this book is a must-have for the aspiring and professional model painter.
