Full disclosures, I like wristwatches and find reasons to adopt new ones - IF they meet what I'm looking for. This watch is meant to fit a niche for me: nice looking for casual day-to-day but also professional enough for work, easy to read in day or night, not too expensive but not flimsy or fragile, comfortable around my wrist and on my skin, waterproof especially, and digital (neither smart nor analog).How does it measure up? close. Close enough for me to use and keep, but not perfect.My takeaway:It's nice looking - not terribly fancy, but doesn't give me that disappointing feeling that cheap watches do when I see them. The band isn't too thin and I like the translucent casing around the main watch body.Like most silicone watches, it doesn't irritate my skin! some of them do and especially if they're plastic-heavy, my wrist breaks out. I like that it has lots of sizing options too; my wrist is about five or six inches around and some watchmakers don't make them to fit down that small. This one can go smaller if it needs to, and also bigger.The best thing about it to me though: waterproofing for my daily business. It won't go deep diving, but I shower off every day still wearing it - doesn't miss a beat! and I can wash it with soap and hot water even without trouble, which some days I do because of how dusty or grimy work sometimes gets.Setting the modes isn't terribly difficult either; the instructions tell you all the combos and while I prefer to avoid combo buttons, on watches like this they're unavoidable.My only gripe is the backlight and display. The display feels like it could be brighter; if you catch it under full day, you won't be able to read it from glare. And in darkness, the backlight not only doesn't stay on very long when pressed but it's uneven; this unevenness doesn't make it harder to read but it puts me off and doesn't speak of better quality.I wish there was a toggle option so the backlight would just stay on! but as far as I can tell there isn't.Overall,This watch works for me. It does MOST of what I need it to do, some parts better than others. And for its pricing it seems about right. It makes me smile and I did get a compliment about it, so it's a keeper for my little collection.

My smart watches weren’t as smart as I thought – they both died within a year. As I discovered they aren’t so intelligent when it comes to getting wet during a rain.So, I’ve opted for a plain-Jane digital watch that has nothing smart about it other than telling time.And that’s exactly what this does. It gives you the time and date and a couple minor functions otherwise.My problem is, this is listed as a man’s fashion watch, but it’s not.The band is way too short for anything but the smallest of wrists and the watch face itself is so small it’s obviously geared to women or kids, but not full grown men.As such, I can’t wear it at all.However, there is no faulting its overall design and quality, so I’ll give it a couple stars for that, but I’m going to ding it for saying it’s a man’s watch.
