and my son plays it constantly had it for 3 months now and I decided it was time to rate sorry my tablet has a terrible camera
for the price this is probably one of the best children's tablets you can get.there are many features to it that make it really cool. the build in child format is super neat, though I may say it does glitch from time to time. I heard some others review this poorly because it would shut down so if it does that you should probably consider contacting the seller for refund or replacement. it works wonderfully and it holds so many games my one peev about it is that it is most definitely not a very protected tablet. In fact, more than the rubber on the corner it is pretty much a regular tablet. the first one we got was broken immediately and Amazon replaced it for us which was very kind of them at no cost to us, not even shipping, which is more than i can say for most so consider buying from a seller fullfilling through amazon. It was a relief since it was our sons Christmas present and he loved it dearly it still worked even though it got broke and had a crack right to the center so the protecting must offer a little bit of help as my spouse dropped his tablet, a Walmart brand, and it was completely wasted even though it was only hit a small distance from the floor so I advise you if you make this purchase to watch your children closely with the tablet do not leave small ones with it alone especially if they aren't used to it and the stylus that comes with it should be put away until the child is old enough to understand how to use a pencil or they will crack it with the stylus it wouldn't take much pressure at all to break the screen I'm not a picky buyer if something works the way its supposed to I rated high and it does work very efficiently it does its job to protect your child from making purchases you don't authorize has lots of settings and is a great size for a child I probably would never get a little kid much bigger 8 gigabytes of memory. Its just a lot of memory, I have yet to run out and my son plays it constantly we had it for 3 months now and I decided it was time I left a review the great thing about this tablet is that even if they do break it is completely easy to replace compared to how much some of the other leading tablets cost for children. It is android so it lets you transfer all the games you bought for your child on possibly other Android devices easily by putting in your email. The main screen is animated so that is a cute feature. I truly would not take another tablet for my son he loves it and I love it with no issues with the second one the only one reason I rated it less than 5 is that structurally it lacks but how much could you really ask for at the $50 price range I would recommend this to anyone with children it makes a good tablet for children old enough to take care and even toddler if accompanied by an adult.

...after 1 week of use review.
Here's the skinny...This tablet is decent for the price. I find I use more than my kid. The screen is pretty decent and touch response is usually pretty good. If you have not worked a tablet or smartphone you may have a little trouble navigating. The camera is just okay, not bad for kids though. Like most small devices the video recording won't capture movement very well. It comes preloaded with the Google Play Store, which has to be accessed through the "parent" portal or added to one of the child's icons through the Settings. Click on the Settings icon, select "apps", type password which should be "1 2 3 4", select "manage" at the bottom right, then select all the apps you would like your child to be able to access. This tablet does NOT come preloaded with children's games, you will need to download them via a Wifi signal through either the Google Play Store app or the Irulu store app. I have been playing some of the games and they work great. Internet surfing and Youtube both work well.My biggest complaint, and I am not sure if it is just THIS tablet's isolated problem or if it is a problem other's are having please let me know, but it is the battery. I cannot play very long (even with the screen brightness turned down to 10%), not more than 1.5 hours before having to charge up. The device gets really hot while charging and playing a game simultaneously, I mean it gets REALLY WARM. This cannot be good for the battery or tablet. Then, as the battery gets low if the tablet is not plugged in it will shut off and then turns itself back on repeatedly (On, then off on then off.) By it's dangged self. Another problem is the tablet says its at 99% charged, then why is it shutting off and turning back on, by itself? So if you don't mind having to plug it in a lot, and the fact it gets really warm, then maybe it's not too bad. But i just hope this warming and constant recharging doesn't totally kill the battery or the device.I also purchased 2 other (different irulu tablets, the ones that come with keyboards and are in a plastic shell with no rubber bumpers.). One had to be sent back for not connecting to wifi. The other has been working great with no problems.

Not too bad the second time around.
It took me a little while to figure out how to do things on this, but this was the first tablet I've ever handled, and the first Android based system. Once I got it figured out and downloaded some games and teaching apps, I kept having trouble getting them into the appropriate place in "Kid's World." If I went in under parent to add a newly acquired app, others that were previously loaded would inexplicably disappear. It was almost as if I needed to go delete everything in Kid's World and start over, just to add a new app. But we finally got it like we wanted it, so we gave it to our grandson. He really liked it, but after a couple of weeks, the screen died, intermittently. Tried to contact iRulu, but unfortunately, they don't have a phone that I could find so I sent an email. This was on a Friday evening, and even though they promised response within 24 hours, I didn't expect to hear from them until Monday, so I went ahead and called Amazon. They were amazing, and with very little fuss arranged for the return, credit to my account, and waived the expedited shipping charge on the replacement I ordered while I was on the phone with them. I had the new Pad in my hands on Monday, just a couple of hours after I finally got the return email from iRulu. The second one set up quite easily since I was now familiar with how to do it and I didn't seem to experience the same dropped app issues I had with the first one. Let's hope it lasts a while longer.
