Rented this for my kids movie night! We loved it!

This movie is my toddlers favorite great art, great humor. My toddler is 2 and laughs at the gnomes racing on the lawnmowers. Great humor even to adults. You need this movie in your life. This movie has a second movie it is called sherlock gnomes. Both great movies great price authentic sealed.

This movie is what started my love of gnomes! Such great humor for both adults & kids with awesome music. Love everything about it!

In the beautiful British town of Stratford-Upon-Avon there's a street where the owners of two neighbouring houses have no idea of the rich lives being led in their backyards.In these backyards there are two groups of garden gnomes - one garden is ruled by the blue hatted variety, the other is ruled by the red hatted variety. An age old feud - of which the reason has long since been forgotten - is keeping them apart, but unexpected events might just be enough to get them back together again.Loosely based on the Shakespearean tragedy Romeo And Juliet this animation film keeps the middle line between tragicomedy and romance. Like many animation films being made these last years it combines fun things for kids with fun things for adults - without hurting either group (the innuendo that is fun for adults is not seen by kids whose innocence protects them from it, the deviation from the original tales to make it fun for kids is not so warped that it makes it unrecognisable for them parents).The animation is great - the gnomes and the gardens are just lovely to watch. The setting with gnomes is flawless - the sounds, the implications of being a garden gnome - it works out really well.If there would be one bit of negativity for this film it is that its trailer is a bit too biased towards an audience that wants to see romance instead of a bit of light comedy.

Good picture and sound quality.

Seeing the ads for this when it first came out, I thought this would be very funny. My wife wanted to go see it in the theater, ended up it was being shown in 3-D during that phase, didn't really get a lot of out it being in 3-D. My first impressions of the movie was it was okay. I was expecting more, but after it came out on DVD and we bought it for my daughter and watched it a few times, it grew on me and I actually really enjoy the movie the more I've watched it and really actually payed attention to it.Never been a fan of Elton John's music, not that there is anything wrong with his songs, its just not my type of music, it does mix in well with the movie and adds to its elements in the scenes that the songs are connected to. There are some parts that are kind of "tongue and cheek" jokes that the parents will "get" and keep you entertained but its also just a nice twist on the classic "Romeo and Juliet" love story told in a funny and entertaining way for kids. Highly recommend this for a family movie night, maybe kids under 4 or 5 might not get into it as much or understand it, but I don't recall anything that is really scary or inappropriate for kids to see.

Our whole family really enjoyed it , it is a great family night movie. Very happy to own it . It will be a movie that you can watch over and over again and not get tired of it . 😃I definitely highly recommend it ! ♥️

Casualmente este año en carnavales, mi pequeño se disfrazó de gnomo en la guardería (yo también :P ) y no habían visto nunca esta película.La compré además de por ese apunte, por que no me habían hablado mal de ella, y que decir que el precio era de derribo... (aunque está bailando cada día unos €uros arriba y abajo).Hay gente que está diciendo que recibe distintas ediciones de la película, (Francia es la más comentada), yo hablo de mi artículo, que es edición Española, con dos discos uno para el BD y otro para el DVD, además de un Slimcover igual a la portada del amaray.La calidad de la imagen y sonido, es mejor de lo esperado. Al tener unos años y viendo como avanzan las pelis de animación digital, no pensaba que tendría las texturas que he visto, el efecto piedra y demás de los personajes.No alargo más el texto ya que poco más que decir, película entretenida, de calidad audio/video magnífica, muy recomendable.

Tout est dans le titre !!Si vous ne connaissez pas et que vous aimez les Disney et /ou Pixar , jetez vous dessus.L'histoire des Montaigu et des Capulets de l'histoire originelle mais transposée dans 2 jardins mitoyens... une belle histoire d'amour contrariée mais avec une fin autrement plus heureuse que pour Roméo et Juliette !!A posséder absolument !
