Corks absorb oil and sink.
I had the same problem as another reviewer. After about a week, the cork absorbs the oil and no longer floats. I expect I'll only use about 100 of the wicks before all of the corks are expended if this continues at the same rate. The wicks are fine, but they are useless without the cork.

This set will keep a vigil lamp going a long time!
With 1000 wicks and 10 floating wick holders, there's enough here for me to keep a vigil lamp going a very long time and have plenty to share with my Orthodox friends too. The wicks are in small bundles, which is better for storing than the big pile shown in the picture. They work well. I'm pleased with this order.

Cork doesn't float after a couple of days
After a couple of uses, the cork absorbs the oil and then doesn't float anymore. It doesn't matter if they give you a thousand wicks if the 10 corks only work for a couple of days. They then sink to the bottom of the oil.
