Yes it is as long as the stain is on a wood or tile surface.

Should I spray then wash cuz it's a Rug??

This product is a life saver. When a friend's dog piddled throughout my house, I grabbed this product. Sprayed it liberally in areas that I suspected were the targets. It has an enzyme that works miracles. I had just had carpets cleaned within the month prior, so not ready or able to do it again soon (killed my back). Begley's product removed all scent left by dog. I am soooo grateful. I keep it on hand even though my fur baby is no longer on the planet.

Will this harm the finish or color on a hardwood floor?

It has not harmed our hardwood,if you need to use it spray it on a cloth before wiping up stains.

How does this work on hard wood floors?

It works just fine! I love this stuff it really gets rid of pet odors.
