Sony BC-U2 Replacement Dual Channel Battery Charger with LCD Display for BP-U30, BP-U60, and BP-U90 Camcorder Batteries

Works as advertised. Well made and just what the doctor ordered.Update - Oops, spoke too soon. Within 30 days the unit went dead. No LCD readout and I don't think it is charging. Luckily, since it's within 30 days I was able to return it. As with another reviewer, it seems like I'm not the only one that had this experience.

Ordered one of these two years ago, and seemed to work fine. Just died recently so I ordered a new one, same product. It doesn't work. Powers up briefly and then dies. I guess you get what you pay for.

The first unit I received was defective (only one charging channel worked). Eastar responded quickly and sent me a replacement within a few days. The replacement charger was a completely different unit (all black - no silver side plates) and a much better one. (perhaps a newer version?) It even included a cigarette lighter power adapter and a USB port for charging cell phones or whatever. I'm very happy with the second charger. Nothing else out there that I'm aware of at this price point to charge Sony BP-U batteries.

I was skeptical as it is orders of magnitude less expensive than the original Sony charger, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It charges both batteries simultaneously and gives you a readout of the voltage level as it charges. Overall, I'm very pleased with it and would recommend it.

really fast charging .a really cool blue screen to show progress.taking one star out because the charging percentage indicators aren't accurate at all !Update: taking another 2 star for short life span, it just died while charging powered up and working , went to the toilet and came back to fined it dead !it was a shoot outside of my country and it made my life a living hell !next time i think i'll buy an original, expansive but they last !
