What size would you recommend for a 5 year old with a 19 inch inseam?

a 16 inch would be good. That's what I got my grandson who just turned 5 but is tall. You don't want him/her to outgrow it right away.

My 6yr old is only around 36 inches tall so would he be right for the 14 inch bike or should I put him on the 16 inch bike?

16 inch. My son is four and half and 14 inch is getting hard for him. I am soon going to buy 16 inch.
