Great present for my 7 year old grandson!
It was the greatest bag for my grandson! I bought binoculars and a compass so he could have some adventures outside. It was the perfect size for a 7 year old. He loved it.

Sturdy, modest little bag
Great for carrying daily necessities. Sturdy, modestly priced, and unobtrusive. I also appreciate that the main compartment is closed with a quiet strap instead of an annoying hook-and-loop closure.

Haversack
I got this to carry my emergency pack while kayaking or hiking.it is made of thick, durable canvas and is just the right size for my needs. The only thing that could improve it would be a way to close the side flaps in case of rain. I will probably add ties to correct this. Overall I don’t think you can find a better haversack for this price

A very useful, sturdy small bag--great for day trips.
I have a Korean war era ammunition bag that is very similar, same size and fabric, that I got from my Dad. I love it, but wanted to stop using it--I can't bear the idea of losing it. So I got this one. It is a very good substitute. The canvas is heavy, the strap is wide and strong. I don't mind the old fashioned buckle closure. I wish now I had gotten the olive instead of black, but that is a minor issue. Because this bag is so inexpensive, I can get another if I want.As to size: for me, this is a perfect size for day tripping. I can put in a 20 oz. bottle of water, a sandwich, apple, snacks, my Kindle, and a wallet. Binoculars would fit in here. It is perfect for hikes or days at the beach (a rolled-up travel towel would fit, too). I like a smaller bag for every day--if I am going on a longer trip, I take a day pack. This is not a laptop bag, so don't expect to use it for that purpose. Smaller gear will fit fine.

Small Bag, Well Made
As stated by many others and in all the negative reviews, this bag is small, so read the description for the size. I will hold ammo just fine, but is nothing fancy, but what do you expect from a $10 bag? I put 8 boxes of 9mm ammo in it just fine with room for ear & eye protection on top of boxes if needed (or a few more boxes of ammo). Works fine for that, but it's not going to be a carry-all range bag. I wanted something to simply put ammo in, and that is what it does, no frills and cheap price. Seems well made, shoulder strap is long enough to carry comfortably. Front smaller pockets will fit a Glock 19 magazine just fine, didnt really mess with them though. If you're looking for a cheap bag that seems like it will hold up well to simply throw a few boxes of ammo in, this bag will do. if you want a range bag to carry everything in, then keep looking

Not great for use as a purse
I generally buy military style bags to use as purses because I find the fabric & straps more durable (this bag is no exception) and the style is less "girly" which suits me. I really like the size of this bag, even when full it's not huge & bulky and I try to travel pretty light so I've never been unable to stuff everything I need inside: paperbacks, cell phone, makeup case, extra T-shirt, wallet & checkbook, sunglasses, hat, etc. all at once. I can even avoid lugging along the diaper bag because a couple diapers, travel wipes, a few toys, burp rags, bottle, etc. all fit easily into this bag along with my wallet & checkbook too. It's probably perfect for a day trip, but there are a couple of things I really don't like about using it as a purse. There are no small zippered compartments anywhere, so you're limited to two smaller outside velcro pockets (cell phone fits nicely), and the velcro for one of these started to fall off my bag after about two weeks. My largest complaint is that if you don't fill it up pretty full it looks rather silly because the top flap cannot be cinched down very tightly due to the location of the bottom strap sewn into the center of the bag. This also means that if it's not full there are loose gaps on either side at the top where things can fall out if it falls on the floor. I guess this alleviates needing to uncinch the strap every time I want something inside because my hands can easily slide in through the top corners & pull out what I need, but I would really prefer to be able to cinch it more tightly closed.

Substantial canvas bag
Sturdy canvas - works great for rock collecting.

Bought for a friend
The main "latch" to get the bag closed is awkward to use. The bag is a good size, he didn't want anything to big. Since he's not using it for ammo, the front pockets are too small to hold anything useful - he needed something for wallet, keys, sunglasses - so they all go in the main compartment. Good price
