Unfortunately this was arrived as a completely non-working item for me. Installation was easy and the fit was fine, but the battery was non-functional. While the battery was inserted, my nook would not power up and the battery would not take a charge.My old, original battery still worked for me but would not hold a charge. Using it temporarily by inserting and charging it was how I knew the nook was still functional because it turned on after I charged it up for a while. This item did not work at all in that respect.I was able to find a replacement from another vendor on another site that worked right away. Thankfully my return of this defective item was simple and processed quickly.

Works perfectly for my old nook classic. Love the nice bright screens but it's so much easier to read on an e-ink device.Also fully charge this and then let it fully drain so it sets the so called "battery memory." My first charge and drain was like 2 days. But after that its been like 2 weeks and it still has more than half a battery left.

Firs the original Nook without issue. Charges just fine. Good replacement
